Scheduled Matches So Far:
Cruiserweight Action
Azrieal vs. Deranged
Azrieal and Deranged are two of the top cruierweights in the Northeast. Both men can take it to the air as well as keep it on the mat. No matter which way the action goes, one thing that is guaranteed is that if you blink, you will miss something. Azrieal and Deranged met in a triple threat match at the last show, but now they are stepping into the ring one on one. They are both looking to be the best and both have a competitive streak in them. Many fans have said that VPW’s cruiserweight matches have been stealing the shows. This could be yet another show stealer, so if you want in on the action, be there!!!
Intergender Tag Team Match To Settle The Score
April Hunter & JD Michaels vs. Danny Demanto & Alicia
Special Guest Referee: Daffney
What began last June as a competitive singles match between April Hunter and Alicia has escalated into a feud that is still going strong. While the intensity between all involved has not slowed down, VPW officials have declared that this is the final match between these teams. There will be no rematch, so whoever walks out of this one standing tall will have all the bragging rights. At VPW’s last event, Alicia was out on the sidelines recovering from injuries. In her place, Danny Demanto selected Tina Marina as his partner. Unfortunately for Demanto, they were not able to duplicate the success that he found with Alicia. On the other hand, VPW’s power couple, JD Michaels and April Hunter, have been operating as a cohesive unit. This will be Demanto and Alicia’s last chance to prove themselves to their opponents. Looking back at the previous intergender tag team matches that we’ve seen, each team holds one victory over the other. Remember that in an intergender tag match the men and the women can and will mix it up. On top of this, VPW has secured former WCW star, “Queen of Scream” Daffney to act as the special guest referee. Daffney has made it clear that she is not afraid to get physical if need be. Anything can happen in this wild situation!! Don’t miss out on the excitement!!
Tag Team Grudge Match
Papadon & Sabotage vs. Mack Daddy Flexx & Richie Tyler
On the last 2 VPW events, Papadon used underhanded tactics to defeat Richie Tyler. Both times saw Richie Tyler close to victory and both times Papadon play dirty to make sure that he was going home a winner. As if Papadon’s devious ways weren’t enough, last time he even recruited Tyler’s old rival, Sabotage to help him get the win. After that match, Papadon and Sabotage proceeded to attack an already beaten Richie Tyler. Thankfully, Tyler’s longtime friend, Mack Daddy Flexx charged the ring to help his friend out. Later on, Flexx and Tyler challenged Sabotage and Papadon to a tag team match and that’s what we are all getting ready for. Papadon and Sabotage may have stepped in a little too deep because they are in for a world of hurt. One has to wonder if they have a back-up plan in place just to keep the advantage on their side. One also has to wonder if Mack Daddy Flexx and Richie Tyler have a back-up plan of their own. Either way, this should be a competitive match featuring a mix of powerhouses and high-flyers. Who will be standing tall when the dust settles?
Singles Competition
JMS vs. Chopsaw
This was originally scheduled to be a triple threat match that also included the L.I. Kid, but injuries have forced the L.I. Kid onto the disabled list. Now, two of VPW’s up and comers will go at it one on one. With the L.I. Kid out, JMS and Chopsaw need to make the most of this opportunity. Chopsaw is looking to get back some momentum after losing to Sabotage last time. On the other hand, JMS is still looking for that much-needed victory. JMS has hinted that he’s been training full-force and may even have a new move or two. That training will definitely come in handy because Chopsaw is certainly ready to fight. This Friday night find out which wrestler will be taking the next step.
Tag Team Revenge
Eclipse w/ Jack O’Hearts vs. Dead Presidents
For a year now, Eclipse and Jack O’Hearts has been running wild, dominating everyone in their path. At the last VPW event, the trio had the marched down to the ring and pretty much declared that there was nobody in VPW that could stop them. At that point, the Dead Presidents stepped up and after a hard fought match, defeated Eclipse. Eclipse and Jack O’Hearts did not take kindly to their first VPW defeat. In retaliation, Eclipse cracked Boog Washington in the head multiple times with Jack O’Hearts’ briefcase. This violent action caused Boog Washington to lose consciousness and be rushed to the hospital. Now the Dead Presidents are back and ready for revenge. Will the Dead Presidents serve Eclipse a taste of their own medicine? Or will Jack O’Hearts & The Crew use their strength in numbers to ensure that the night goes their way?
Tag Team Action
Scotty Rio & Johnny Suburban w/ Jack O’Hearts vs. Eug Perversion & DC Diamond w/ Jimmy Time
This match has multiple issues leading into it and those issues will either be resolved or further fueled this Friday night. Back at Grim Intentions, both Scotty Rio and Johnny Suburban made their debuts by attacking others during their matches. In Rio’s case, he went after Eug Perversion during his match. Suburban was even more deceitful when he accompanied DC Diamond to the ring seemingly as his friend, only to then reveal that he was hired by the Jack O’Hearts to help take out DC Diamond. At Static Shock, Eug Perversion got a slight measure of revenge when he pinned Scotty Rio to win an elimination match, but nothing has been settled between those two. Also on that night, DC Diamond was clonked in the head by Jack O’Hearts’ briefcase, causing him to be pinned. This Friday night will see who really does have the last laugh!!
Other VPW News
Injuries have struck two members of the VPW roster in Jason Static and the L.I. Kid. Static recently underwent surgery and is on his way to recovery, but he will unfortunately miss some ring time including this Friday’s event. However, Static has informed VPW officials that he will be present at this Friday’s big show. Static said that he wants to keep his eye on a few people as well as address the fans. As for the L.I. Kid, he will also miss this event due to injuries sustained only days ago, but he is already recuperating.
Grim Reefer does not have a scheduled opponent at this time, but he will be in action this Friday night, along with his main-man, Don Tony. The duo from OZHB may have been slowed down by Jason Static last time, but that loss has not stopped them. Reefer is especially dangerous since he doesn’t have a scheduled opponent. Without knowing who he is facing, Reefer may very well just interject himself in another match. VPW officials have been trying to work something out with Grim Reefer, but he and Don Tony seem to be making their own rules. Everybody in VPW needs to watch out, especially the injured Jason Static.
Another wrestler that doesn’t have a scheduled match is Kevin Matthews. Last time around saw Matthews lose in a very close match against Mack Daddy Flexx. Matthews was irate at this loss and has vowed to make an example out of someone. VPW officials have tried to calm Matthews down, but the big man was too angry to be reasoned with. It looks like someone is going to pay the price this Friday.
