Commissioner Kevin Fulton welcomed the VPW Faithful before delivering difficult news. Da Big Boofa Dezmond Cole had sustained an injury with no timetable for his return and had been stripped of the Victory Pro Wrestling Championship. Before Fulton could outline the plan for the vacant title, Dr. Sleep Anthony Gangone interrupted and demanded the championship opportunity he believed he earned. ECW King Alvin Alvarez soon followed, also staking his claim.

Samwell Thompson then entered the discussion, stating that while Cole deserved the title, he intended to earn his own opportunity. Fulton made it official. Later that night, Gangone faced Thompson, and the winner would meet Alvarez on March 13 for the vacant championship. Gangone exited with a warning that he intended to hurt Thompson.

King of New York Qualifier

Bobby Buffet def. Georgio Lawrence (6:45)

The first qualifier operated under Beat the Clock rules. Georgio Lawrence targeted Buffet’s legs early and nearly gained control, but Buffet countered with power offense to shift momentum. After a competitive exchange that included near falls and a sleeper hold by Lawrence, Buffet rallied with a spinebuster and finished the match with a rolling clothesline at 6:45, setting the pace for the remaining qualifiers.

During the evening, VPW presented its 2025 Year-End Awards. Match of the Year went to Dezmond Cole for his Summer Showdown victory over Bryce Donovan to win the VPW Championship.

King of New York Qualifier

Azure def. Stan Michael (8:07)

Azure continued to show a darker demeanor in his match against Stan Michael. Michael energized the crowd and used his speed to create openings, but Azure halted his momentum with a punishing attack that included hanging Michael across the top rope. After sustained offense and a near fall off a scorpion death drop variation, Azure snapped Michael’s neck and secured the win at 8:07. Brother Greatness made the save after the bell.

The Even Stevens were recognized as the 2025 Tag Team of the Year.

Commissioner Fulton then presided over Security Inc.’s VPW Tag Team Championship Celebration. Officer Ronald Moses and Guard Dog Malcom Murray criticized the company and declared themselves the law of VPW. Their celebration was interrupted by Lex Lozano and Diego Alvarez of Guapo Suave, who issued a challenge for March 13. After a heated exchange, a brawl broke out, with Guapo Suave standing tall. Fulton later made the title match official.

David Graham was named 2025 Most Improved Wrestler.

King of New York Qualifier

David Graham def. The Artist Formerly Known as Dash (0:07)

Graham attacked Dash before the bell and the two went back and forth outside the ring. Dash was able to come back strong, throw Graham into the ring, but Graham escaped before the match started. Then as Dash went to bring Graham back, he struck Dash with Dash’s own guitar. Once the match officially began, Graham followed with his finishing maneuver for a seven second victory, eliminating Azure from contention and advancing to the finals.

Azure’s betrayal of Steve Somerset was named the 2025 Shock of the Year.

King of New York Qualifier

Brother Greatness def. Leo Sparrow (5:17)

With 6:45 as the time to beat, Brother Greatness needed a decisive win. Sparrow controlled much of the match and applied a sleeper hold in an effort to shorten the contest. Silk E. Smooth observed from ringside. In the closing moments, Sparrow attempted to use kale as a distraction, but it backfired and struck David Graham at ringside. Brother Greatness capitalized with a roll up at 5:17 to advance to the finals against Graham.

Gabriel Skye won the 2025 Debut of the Year. Security Inc. vs. The Even Stevens was named Feud of the Year.

Kalypto and The Unwilting Tatiana def. Tiphani Grady and Valerie Verman

VPW Women’s Champion Tiphani Grady teamed with Valerie Verman against Kalypto and The Unwilting Tatiana. The woman scoring the fall would earn a future title opportunity. After a back and forth tag match that saw Grady and Verman isolate Tatiana, momentum shifted when Tatiana connected with a spear on Grady for the pin. Tatiana became the new No. 1 contender. Post match chaos erupted until Kalypto made the save with a kendo stick. Tatiana required medical attention afterward and was helped to the back.

The Unforgiven Salem was named 2025 Female Wrestler of the Year.

Samwell Thompson def. Anthony Gangone

The night’s opening announcement culminated in a high stakes main event. Gangone attacked before the bell and controlled early action, targeting Thompson inside and outside the ring. Thompson responded with a series of suplexes and high impact maneuvers, but Gangone repeatedly halted his momentum.

As Gangone applied his Sharpshooter, Alvin Alvarez interfered with a chair. The referee was knocked down in the chaos. Thompson capitalized, delivered his finisher and secured the victory. Afterward, Alvarez attacked Thompson, but Thompson fought him off with a DDT. The championship match between Thompson and Alvarez was set for March 13.

Dezmond Cole was announced as the 2025 Men’s Wrestler of the Year.

2026 King of New York Finals

David Graham def. Brother Greatness

The finals featured David Graham against Brother Greatness with a future New York State Championship opportunity at stake. The crowd strongly supported Brother Greatness, while Graham drew heavy boos.

The match was competitive from the outset, featuring near falls, submission attempts and heavy strikes. Silk E. Smooth appeared at ringside during the bout. Both competitors exchanged high impact maneuvers, including brainbusters and a piledriver by Graham.

The referee was inadvertently knocked down during a high risk attempt. With no official in position, Graham struck Brother Greatness with a cane after taking it from Smooth. When the referee recovered, Graham secured the pin to win the 2026 King of New York. Commissioner Kevin Fulton presented Graham with the crown and robe, cementing his place in VPW history.

What will happen when VPW presents Before the Storm on Friday night, March 13?

ICYMI: Dezmond Cole Retains VPW Championship; Rivalries Intensify in Bay Shore. Full Results from Haunted Ground October 11, 2025 https://www.victoryprowrestling.com/icymi-dezmond-cole-retains-vpw-championship-rivalries-intensify-in-bay-shore-full-results-from-haunted-ground/ Sun, 12 Oct 2025 08:19:27 +0000 https://www.victoryprowrestling.com/?p=13146

BAY SHORE, N.Y. — Victory Pro Wrestling returned to ProGame Athletics on Saturday, Oct. 11, for Haunted Ground, a night filled with action, emotion, and championship drama. From the opening moments with VPW Champion Dezmond Cole to a wild triple-threat tag team showdown, fans witnessed another unforgettable night of professional wrestling on Long Island.

Dezmond Cole opens the show and wants to talk about the good things: the people who got engaged, that he’s 100 percent, and that he is the new VPW Champion. He says anyone can step up who wants to, and Samwell Thompson and Valerie Verman make their way to the entranceway. Thompson says he will become champion tonight in Cole’s first title defense. Cole responds that tonight, all everyone will hear is “AND STILL!”

DAVID GRAHAM vs. BROTHER GREATNESS ENDS IN NO CONTEST

  • Brother Greatness is the clear fan favorite in this one. He starts hot, taking the fight to Graham. He lands a pair of hip tosses, sending Graham to the outside to regroup. Graham makes his way back into the ring, and the two men exchange a few pinfalls, each trying to steal the win early on.
  • Brother Greatness puts a stop to this, landing a beautiful dropkick on Graham. As Brother Greatness tries for another big move, Graham counters and hits a backbreaker to gain momentum. Brother Greatness tries to fight back, but Graham catches him with a big boot in the corner to stop any momentum.
  • Brother Greatness does his best to fight back with strong strikes. However, Graham shows he can hang with the best of them and lays out Brother Greatness with heavy shots of his own. Brother Greatness changes the tide of the match and takes out Graham with a diving crossbody.
  • Brother Greatness attempts another big move from the top, but Graham hits the ropes, causing him to fall. In the end, both competitors pinned each other at the same time. The contest was ruled a draw, which neither man was happy about. Graham slapped Brother Greatness before running out of the ring, showing that things are far from over between the two.

ADAM CAIN def. GEORGIO LAWRENCE and ZAKK RAMSES

  • Georgio Lawrence doesn’t make many friends on his way to the ring. Adam Cain looks to be all business, with Silk E. Smooth by his side. Suddenly, before the two can lock up, Zakk Ramses makes his way down to the ring. He says that it’s always just been business before entering the ring and joining the match.
  • Lawrence tries to take down Ramses with big leg kicks, but Ramses makes short work of him. Cain is heard saying he doesn’t “want to fight him.” However, Ramses leaves him no choice and starts the fight with Cain, beating him down in the corner with heavy lariats.
  • Lawrence reenters the ring and tries again to take down the big man, but Ramses is unaffected by Lawrence’s kicks and sends him crashing to the mat. Lawrence goes back to the floor, leaving Ramses to beat down Cain. Cain tries for a big scoop slam, but Ramses’ weight causes him to fall under the pressure.
  • Ramses attempts a chokeslam, which is stopped by Smooth. Lawrence attacks Ramses with a chop block to the leg. Cain hits Ramses with a flying clothesline to get him down to one knee, then officially fires Ramses from Cain Industries. Lawrence attempts a suplex on Ramses but can’t get him up. Cain assists, and together they take the big man off his feet.
  • Cain and Lawrence exchange strikes, with Cain gaining the upper hand. However, Lawrence hits a tornado DDT on Cain and goes for the pinfall, which is broken up by Ramses. In the end, Cain sends Ramses outside and hits a spear on Lawrence to win the match.
  • After the match, Anthony Gangone’s voice is heard over the loudspeaker. Gangone challenges Cain to a match on November 8 and says he wants “Silk E. Smooth to be right in the middle.” He announces that Smooth will be the special guest referee when they finally meet. Cain shoves Smooth to the ground before walking out separately from his manager.

ALVIN ALVAREZ def. JJ DOZE

  • JJ Doze makes his way to the ring and cuts a promo, talking about how when Alvin injured himself, he tried to help him. Doze says he doesn’t understand the “victim mentality” Alvarez has. Alvarez attacks Doze from behind and sends him to the floor, continuing the fight by throwing Doze into the ring post.
  • The match returns to the ring, where Alvarez keeps up the onslaught. Alvarez makes it clear that nobody texted, called, or messaged him when he got hurt. Alvarez charges at Doze in the corner, but Doze uses his speed to counter. Unfortunately for Doze, Alvarez levels him with a big boot followed by a senton.
  • Alvarez pulls down the straps and charges again, but Doze moves out of the way and takes Alvarez down with a tilt-a-whirl headscissors, sending him outside. Doze follows up with a front flip through the middle rope.
  • Back in the ring, the match remains evenly contested. Alvarez goes for a big splash but misses. Doze hits two superkicks and a clothesline to the back of the head, followed by a near fall. In the end, Alvarez uses the referee as a shield, hits Doze from behind, and connects with a splash for the three-count.

THE UNWILTING TATIANA def. LA PEGASA

  • La Pegasa makes her way to the ring for a showdown with the “Mother Nature of Professional Wrestling,” The Unwilting Tatiana. The two start with chain wrestling, with Pegasa gaining the upper hand and hitting a low dropkick for a two-count.
  • Tatiana takes Pegasa down with a hip toss and gains momentum, hitting a sidewalk slam for a near fall. She hits a running cannonball in the corner and goes for another pin, but Pegasa kicks out. The fans rally behind Pegasa, who blocks a suplex.
  • Pegasa sidesteps a charging Tatiana and hits a running elbow in the corner, followed by a springboard cutter for a near fall. Pegasa goes high-risk but misses, allowing Tatiana to hit her finisher for the three-count.

VPW NEW YORK STATE CHAMPIONSHIP: REX LAWLESS def. EVIL KIP

  • The Victory Pro Wrestling New York State Champion, Rex Lawless, makes his way to the ring for an open challenge. Alvin Alvarez, wearing a suit, teases accepting but joins the commentary team instead. Evil Kip officially answers the challenge.
  • Lawless dominates early, using his size to control Kip and slam his head on three of the four corner turnbuckles. Lawless sends Kip crashing to the outside, where Kip tries to run into the fans but falls off the guardrail. He attempts to leave with the title but thinks better of it.
  • As Kip reenters the ring, Lawless hits a big boot, sending him back to the floor. When Lawless returns to the ring, Kip catches his leg on the middle rope and briefly shifts the momentum. Kip attacks Lawless’s legs and taunts him, but wastes too much time. Lawless recovers, hits a big clothesline, and sends Kip flying. He follows with a running big boot and a cannonball for a near fall. In the end, Lawless hits his double chokeslam finisher for the win to retain his title.

SECURITY INC. (OFFICER RONALD MOSES and GUARDDOG MALCOM MURRAY) def. SKULL & BONEZ (BONEZ and HAMLET HURTSSUE) and THE BODY SNATCHERS (GOD OF THE DAD BOD and MARVELOUS)

  • Security Inc. cuts a promo, claiming Even Stevens and Commissioner Kevin Fulton are not in attendance because they’re scared. Skull & Bonez make their way to the ring, followed by The Body Snatchers, turning the bout into a triple-threat tag match.
  • Marvelous, Moses, and Bonez start for their teams. Security Inc. hides outside the ring, leaving Marvelous and Bonez to go at it. Marvelous bites God of the Dad Bod’s hand and then Murray’s. Bonez and Marvelous exchange evenly until Hamlet takes down Marvelous with a spinning move.
  • Murray takes over for his team, dominating both Bonez and Marvelous. Moses tags in and continues the assault. Hurttsue tries to fight back, but Moses sends him shoulder-first into the post. Moses drops Marvelous stomach-first on his knee and tags Murray back in.
  • All chaos breaks loose at ringside as Bonez, Moses, and God of the Dad Bod brawl. Marvelous makes the hot tag to God of the Dad Bod, who clears house. In the end, after a wild back-and-forth, Security Inc. delivers a low blow to God of the Dad Bod and hits their finisher on Bonez to win the match.

SOFIA CASTILLO def. VALERIE VERMAN (w/ SAMWELL THOMPSON)

  • Valerie Verman makes her way to the ring with Samwell Thompson to face “The Ringmaster” Sofia Castillo. Castillo is the clear fan favorite, while Verman taunts the audience.
  • Castillo tries to lock up, but Verman stalls. When the action begins, Castillo takes her down with a leg scissors and nearly scores a pin. After a brief feeling-out process, Castillo rains strikes on Verman. Thompson distracts the referee, allowing Verman to hit a DDT and take control.
  • Verman dominates with help from Thompson, posing for photos mid-match. Castillo eventually rallies, but Verman cuts her off with a neckbreaker.
  • Verman runs around the ring, chased by Castillo. Castillo takes down Thompson with a big boot and looks to finish Verman, but Thompson recovers and interferes. In the end, music hits, distracting Verman and Thompson, and Castillo rolls up Verman for the three-count.

VPW CHAMPIONSHIP: DEZMOND COLE def. SAMWELL THOMPSON (w/ VALERIE VERMAN)

  • The main event features Dezmond Cole defending the Victory Pro Wrestling Championship against Samwell Thompson, accompanied by Valerie Verman. Cole remains the top fan favorite, with the crowd loudly behind him.
  • The two start with chain wrestling, with Cole gaining the upper hand. Thompson challenges Cole to a test of strength but goes for a cheap shot instead. Cole anticipates it and takes control. A distraction from Verman allows Thompson to take over and deliver a back body drop on the ring apron.
  • Cole fights back, but Thompson targets the midsection and hits a Russian leg sweep into the turnbuckle pads. Thompson follows with a dropkick and locks in a submission, but Cole powers out and rallies.
  • Cole hits a suplex and fires up the crowd with a rolling leg drop for a near fall. Thompson dodges a corner attack and lands several kicks, followed by a pedigree for two. In the end, as Thompson grabs the belt to use as a weapon, Cole counters with a kick and finishes him off with his signature move for the three-count to retain the VPW Championship.
  • After the match, Alvin Alvarez teases a confrontation with Cole but ultimately smiles, shakes his hand, and walks away.

Donovan guarantees he will chokeslam Cole and remain the “forever, better than VSK, and greatest” Victory Pro Wrestling Champion. Donovan says if anyone has a problem with that, wait to see what happens next.

SECURITY INC def. CAIN INDUSTRIES

  • Security Inc., Officer Ronald Moses and Guard Dog Malcom Murray, make their way out to the ring first, serenaded with boos from the VPW faithful. Cain Industries, Adam Cain, and Anthony Gangone make their way down to the ring, accompanied by more cheers than usual. Cain Industries was brought out by their managing director, Silk E. Smooth.
  • Gangone and Moses started the match out for their respective teams, but Cain tags in immediately to take Gangone’s spot. Continuing to show their dissension, Gangone immediately tags back in, and Security Inc. takes the right to both members of Cain Industries.
  • Gangone quickly gains the upper hand over Moses with a back-body drop suplex. He tags in Cain with a loud smack, which seems to only anger Cain. Cain takes out his frustrations on Moses and beats down the officer in the ring. Cain tags Gangone back in with a loud smack, continuing to show that both men are not on the same page.
  • Gangone continues the onslaught on Moses before hitting another loud tag on Cain. Finally, Moses makes the tag as Cain is jawing back at his tag partner, which allows Murray to level Cain in the ring. Moses and Murray work together to keep down the much bigger member of the opposite team.
  • After taking a brunt of the attack for the majority of the match, Cain finds the wherewithal to hit Murray with a big back-body drop and change the tide of the match. Gangone forcefully tags back in with a big smack to the face of Cain, and takes down Moses, who tags back in for Security Inc. Gangone locks in a sleeper hold on Moses, but Cain gets shoved into the hold, breaking it. This causes tensions to come to a head between the two members of Cain Industries.
  • Gangone gets shoved into Smooth, knocking him off the apron, which allows Security Inc. to hit their finishing move on Cain and pin him to win the match. After the match, Smooth separates Gangone and Cain, as Cain heads to the back. Cain Industries still has not been able to figure it out.

VPW WOMEN’S CHAMPIONSHIP QUALIFIER
TIPHANI GRADY def. NAT CASTLE

  • Nat Castle and Tiphani Grady do battle to see who will punch their ticket into the second spot in the VPW Women’s Championship match next month at Gold Rush Rumble. Castle is the clear fan-favorite entering the contest. Grady lands a big shoulder block on Castle in the early going before Castle rolls her up for only a two-count and changes the momentum to her favor.
  • Castle lands a big senton bomb on Grady for just a two-count. She tries to follow that up with a running hip tackle in the corner on a seated Grady, but Grady moves out of the match and targets the throat of Castle to change the tide of the match once again to her favor.
  • Castle digs down deep and lands a big DDT on Grady, followed by a low drop kick on Grady. Castle follows this up with a flurry of kicks. Castle finally lands the hip tackle in the corner on Grady, but just gets a two-count. Ultimately, Grady lands a “Grady Bomb” on Castle and puts her away to join Unwilting Tatiana in a triple threat next month at the Gold Rush Rumble for the vacant VPW Women’s Championship.

BROTHER GREATNESS def. EVIL KIP & JJ DOZE

  • Brother Greatness and JJ Doze welcomed reactions from the VPW faithful in attendance, but Kip didn’t fare as well with the crowd.
  • Just as it seems Brother Greatness and Doze are about to work together, Doze tries to steal it in the early going by pinning Kip. This ultimately cuts the alliance between the two men very early. After a feeling-out process of pinfall attempt after pinfall attempt, Kip attempts to attack Doze from behind but meets a pele kick instead.  Doze lands a big dive to the outside onto Kip, who pulls Brother Greatness in front of him to brunt all of the fall. This allows Kip to take the fight to Doze and beat up on him in the corner.
  • As Kip attempts a pinfall, Brother Greatness re-enters the fray, hitting a punt kick on Kip. Brother Greatness attempts to go up top, but Kip hits the rope, causing Brother Greatness to crash and burn. Kip lands a double-knees move to the chest of Brother Greatness, who’s seated in the corner, but gets only a two-count. Kip turns his attention to Doze, who’s ready for him this time.
  • Doze uses his speed and agility to take the fight to Kip, but Brother Greatness once again gets involved and stops Doze in his tracks. As Brother Greatness and Doze have a chop off on the top rope, Kip low blows each of them and shoves them both off the top. Kip tries to pin each of them, but they both kick out, which angers Kip. Ultimately, after a very good back-and-forth competitive match, Brother Greatness lands his finishing move on Kip and pins him to win the match.

SAMWELL THOMPSON (w/ VALERIE VERMAN) def. ERIC JAMES

  • One of the biggest fan favorites in Victory Pro Wrestling today, Eric James, goes one-on-one with Samwell Thompson, who’s accompanied as always by his other half, Valerie Verman. The two men start with a collar-elbow tie-up. After a feeling-out process of sorts, Thompson sends James’ neck-first into the top rope. However, this doesn’t keep James grounded for long.
  • James takes out Thompson with a beautiful cross-body from the top rope. However, just as it looks like James is in the driver’s seat once again, Thompson relies on help from his girlfriend, Verman, who’s faking an arm injury. This allows him to hit James with a low dropkick from the ring to the floor.
  • Thompson continues his onslaught on James in the ring, targeting his neck and midsection. The fans try to rejuvenate James, who’s stuck in a sleeper hold, and it succeeds. James changes the momentum of this match and hits a big slingshot elbow drop on Thompson for just a two-count.
  • James attempts his finisher, but Thompson counters. James instead lands a superkick on Thompson to remain in control.  Ultimately, after a terrific match from both competitors, James seemingly has the match won when he lands his finisher, but Verman makes the save, distracting the referee. This allows Thompson to hit a Russian leg sweep into the middle turnbuckle, and a big kick for just a two-count.
  • Both men land strikes in the middle of the ring, trying to knock the other one out. James hits a massive superkick and a springboard cutter for just a two-count. Once again, Verman makes the save by putting Thompson’s foot on the bottom rope. This drives James to chase Verman around the ring on the outside and even into the ring. Thompson rolls up James when he finally catches her and wins the match. This was a fun one.

HAIR vs. TITLE MATCH FOR THE VPW NEW YORK STATE CHAMPIONSHIP
CHAMPION REX LAWLESS def. ZAKK RAMSES

  • In the first championship match of the night, Rex Lawless is putting his Victory Pro Wrestling New York State Championship on the line against Silk E. Smooth’s newest client, Zakk Ramses. Lawless is the fan-favorite entering this one as the Victory Pro Wrestling faithful showers him with love from his entrance into the match. Lawless lands a big kick to start the match and tries to steal one, but Ramses kicks out.
  • Ramses makes his way outside to regroup and capitalizes on Smooth’s distraction, attacking the champion from behind. Ramses sends Lawless into the ring post and continues to beat down the champion all around the ringside area. Ramses wastes too much time jawing at the crowd, and Lawless hits him with a big boot as he’s stepping into the ring.
  • Ramses changes the tide in the match when he lands a big fallaway slam on Lawless. Ramses beats down the champion and stops him in his tracks whenever he tries to fight back. The fans try to get Lawless back into the swing of things, but Ramses’ display of power keeps Lawless at bay. However, Ramses has a bit too much fun, and Lawless meets him with a big boot in the corner. Both men take each other out with a big clothesline.
  • Ramses attempts a chokeslam, but Lawless counters with a big double-handed chokeslam of his own, but only gets a two-count. A bit later on, Ramses lands a big chokeslam finally, but Lawless kicks out at two. With both of these men now hitting their big moves on each other, it doesn’t seem like they know how to put the other away. Ramses hits a big cross-body from the ring apron to Lawless, who’s on the floor.
  • The referee inadvertently gets knocked out by Lawless, who is shoved into her. Ramses screams at Smooth to do something, and Smooth brings out Adam Cain. Cain looks to use the New York State Championship belt on Lawless, who moves out of the way, forcing Cain to connect with Ramses instead. Cain gets shoved into Smooth, and Lawless takes out Cain and hits a double-chokeslam on Ramses to retain his title.
  • After the match, JJ Doze comes out to help Lawless, and Lawless cuts Ramses’ beard and hair.

VPW TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIPS
CHAMPIONS EVEN STEVENS def. PICTURE PERFECT STUDIOS

  • Picture Perfect Studios, JGeorge & Jake Lang, make their way down to the ring first, accompanied by Lady Killjoy. They get a very mixed reaction. Even Stevens, Stephen Azure & Steve Somerset make their way down to the ring next, with a much more favorable reaction from the fans. Azure and Lang start the match for their respective teams, with Azure quickly getting the upper hand.
  • Azure tags in Somerset, and they “do the thing” to Lang. Somerset tries an early pinfall but only gets a one-count. When JGeorge tags in, Somerset continues on the offensive. The Event Stevens display great tag team prowess and show their ability to work together arguably better than any other tag team in VPW today, and do an excellent job at taking the fight to JGeorge.
  • However, Lady Killjoy grabs the leg of Azure and causes a distraction, allowing JGeorge to knock Azure out on the floor where Lang and Killjoy lay the boots on him. Picture Perfect Studios firmly controls the match and does a good job of separating Azure from his tag team partner. Lady Killjoy gets involved in the match a few more times, continuing to help her guys and show her worth as a manager.
  • A double team move from Picture Perfect Studios goes haywire, and Lang accidentally knocks out JGeorge with a big boot. This allows Azure to hit Lang with a stunner and make the hot tag to Somerset. Somerset quickly takes down JGeorge and Lang. The fresh partner of the Even Stevens hits a cross body onto JGeorge from the top for just a two-count.
  • After some more terrific back-and-forth tag team action, Lang hits a spear on Somerset and throws JGeorge on top of him from the top rope for just a two-count. With Picture Perfect Studios now desperate for the win, they resort to trying to use the VPW Tag Team Championship belt. However, this draws out the returning Johnny Collins.
  • Collins comes out to the ring and chases Lady Killjoy around the ring. JGeorge accidentally knocks out Lang with the belt and Lady Killjoy. Collins throws JGeorge back inside the ring, which allows Even Stevens to hit their finisher on JGeorge and win the match.

After the match, the Even Stevens celebrate with the returning Johnny Collins.

Security Inc. comes out and jumps the Even Stevens and Collins from behind and hold up the tag team gold, signifying they want next. Cain Industries comes out next and continues to attack the Even Stevens and Collins.

Commissioner Kevin Fulton says that there will be no shot for Cain Industries and that they are out of chances. Somerset grabs the mic and says he wants both of them at the Gold Rush Rumble next month.

Fulton then makes it official: Even Stevens vs. Cain Industries vs. Security Inc. for the Victory Pro Wrestling Tag Team Championships at the Gold Rush Rumble.

VPW WOMEN’S CHAMPIONSHIP QUALIFIER
KATE THORN def. VALERIE VERMAN

  • The Even Stevens put the VPW Tag Team Championships on the line against the former champions, Cain Industries. Adam Cain and Steve Somerset start the match for their respective teams. Somerset uses his quickness to get Cain reeling, which forces Cain to tag in Anthony Gangone.
  • Gangone is the target of both Stephen Azure and Somerset. Some miscommunications at the beginning of the match cause Gangone to take out Cain with a clothesline. The Even Stevens capitalize on this with a tag team move of their own on the big man. However, a blind tag from Gangone onto Cain causes Somerset to meet a slingshot shoulder block. Cain Industries is now in firm control of the match.
