NEW YORK STATE CHAMPIONSHIP
“FRAT STAR” DANTE DRAGO vs CHAMPION ERIC JAMES

Dante Drago earned the right to challenge for the New York State championship in a gauntlet match at Disorderly Conduct. His match with Eric James was easily a show stealer, but the experience of the New York State Champion allowed him to fend off the challenge of the Frat Star.

WINNER: ERIC JAMES

KING OF NEW YORK TOURNAMENT
MIKE ANTHONY vs THE VESTLER JACK TOMLINSON

The first round of the King of New York tournament showed two of VPW’s young stars hungry to show they are the best in the company. Tomlinson was in control and ready to win but the wily Kaide Lothbrok provided just enough distraction for Mike Anthony to steal the win.

WINNER AND ADVANCING TO THE QUARTERFINALS: MIKE ANTHONY

After the match, Dante Drago attacked Tomlinson. Lothbrok offered his hand yet again before joining Drago in the beatdown.

ADAM CAIN & BROTHER GREATNESS vs SHOOK CREW (BOBBY ORLANDO / BRYCE DONOVAN)

Adam Cain and Brother Greatness teamed up once again, taking on Shook Crew in a match with possible tag team title implications. The match was fun to watch until Greatness took a horrible spill to the outside in a spot where there was some miscommunication between himself and his partner Cain.

WINNER: SHOOK CREW

VPW WOMEN’S CHAMPIONSHIP
VALENTINA VASQUEZ vs CHAMPION KAREN BAM BAM W/ SILK E SMOOTH

Vasquez came out first, calling out Karen Bam Bam, and reminding the fans that she was the one that gave Bam Bam the biggest challenge to date. Smooth came out and disrespected the challenge from Vasquez before the champion came to the ring.

Vasquez put in her best effort to try and defeat the champion, putting on a better effort than her last match against Karen, but once again was caught in Karen’s camel clutch. Vasquez held on but not for long as someone called out Karen. The champion released the submission and turned to see who was calling her out: none other than Anastasia MorningStar! Capitalizing on the distraction, Vasquez rolled up Karen in a schoolgirl for the win.

WINNER AND NEW VPW WOMEN’S CHAMPION: VALENTINA VASQUEZ

As Valentina grabbed the championship, MorningStar and Karen squared off in the ring.

THE DOCTOR’S OFFICE WITH DR. COOL JAY KLANG

Dr. Cool Jay Klang introduced his guest, the injured Percy Ryan. Ryan came out and started to talk about how he was hurt before calling one of the camerapersons to enter the ring so he could address Dezmond Cole, who was at home.

He then talked about how he was injured but still at VPW while Dezmond Cole was hurt but milking the injury at home. Ryan turned his attention to Dr. Cool, who was trying to note that was not one of VPW’s camera staff. While Ryan was yelling at Dr. Cool, the camera operator took his hoodie off and reveals that he was Dezmond Cole!

Ryan turned around and ate a spear from Cole who started a ground and pound before Ryan was able to escape. Cole then challenged Percy Ryan for a match at Before the Storm.

MISTER TIBBS vs DR COOL JAY KLANG

Things did not end well for “The Doctor’s Office” and was not looking better for Dr. Cool. Mister Tibbs came to the ring and noted to the fans that due to transportation issues, his opponent Max Caster would not be performing that night. That said, Mister Tibbs called out the winner of the main event at Before the Storm because he claims he never got his rematch for the VPW Championship.

With the bell started, it would be Mister Tibbs putting on a clinic, taking apart his impromptu opponent before finally picking up the win.

WINNER: MISTER TIBBS

VPW TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIPS
THE ABSOLUTE BRAND (ALVIN ALVAREZ / GIANT ANDRE) vs CHAMPIONS THE EVEN STEVENS (STEVE SOMERSET / STEPHEN AZURE)

Challengers out first, as is tradition. Knowing this, the Even Stevens attacked Giant Andre from behind, taking his knee out and bringing down the big man. They then went for a double belt attack on Alvin Alvarez who ducked the move and sent the champions reeling to the ring. Alvin then checked on Andre, who was being tended to by the medical staff. With Andre in good hands, Alvin went to the ring to take on the champions on his own.

With the match under way, Alvin was tough, but the numbers game between the Even Stevens was too much for him. Andre was able to get back to the ring and finally get some revenge for the attack on Somerset and Azure, but then a double choke slam on Alvin Alvarez left the fans in shock. Somerset and Azure capitalized, picked up the win, and retained the titles.

WINNERS: THE EVEN STEVENS

After the match, as Andre walked to the back, Silk E Smooth came out from the locker room area and joined Andre while Alvarez looked on in shock.

KAIDE LOTHBROK vs VSK

The first match between Lothbrok and VSK ended with a Lothbrok victory. VSK would look to pick up the win but had his work cut out for him. Without the distraction of Beau Sullivan, things looked good for the 3x VPW champion, but it was Dante Drago once again causing issues, this time in a 2-on-1 assault on VSK.

WINNER BY DISQUALIFICATION: VSK

With Drago and Lothbrok taking care of VSK, out came the Vestler Jack Tomlinson to save VSK and even the odds.

KING OF NEW YORK TOURNAMENT
KARLO VICE w/ MIKE ANTHONY vs PHILLIP CARDIGAN W/ KIP STEVENS

Karlo brought his A game, his partner Mike Anthony brought… pizza. Phillip Cardigan and Karlo Vice started it off with Karlo looking to teach Cardigan how to wrestle, but turned into a dance contest.

Karlo was able to regain control and dominate Cardigan but unable to keep him down. Mike Anthony went to help his partner but Kip Stevens thwarted the attempt and shoved a cupcake in his face, leaving a distracted Vice to a waiting Cardigan.

WINNER AND ADVANCING TO THE QUARTERFINALS: PHILLIP CARDIGAN

THE MAIN EVENT FOR THE VICTORY PRO WRESTLING CHAMPIONSHIP
COACH MAMMONE vs CHAMPION JOHNNY “PRETTY BOY” COLLINS
If Coach Mammone wins, he become champion again… but if he loses, he must retire

Pre-match shenanigans once again delayed the start of the match but this time, the challenger Coach Mammone blew up and attacked the Even Stevens, sending them to the back.

Mammone was on fire, tearing apart Collins throughout the match. The new champion kept coming back but Collins was no match for Coach. Everything he did was thwarted as Mammone would not stay down.

The official went down, giving the Even Stevens a chance to come back and help Collins, but Mammone was able to survive the second wave and once again hold down the challenge.

Somehow Collins was able to finally come back and slay the demon that is Coach Mammone and put him away for good.

WINNER: JOHNNY “PRETTY BOY” COLLINS

After the match, Mammone thanked the fans for all their love and support before heading to the locker room one last time.

The show opened up with VPW Commissioner Kevin Fulton, accompanied by the Assistant to the VPW Commissioner James M Sullivan, announcing that Mister Tibbs would not be able to perform as he suffered an injury during training.

Jack Tomlinson came out to find out what that meant for him, as he wants to prove he is worthy of a championship. Fulton told him he had the night off. When asked why, the Commish told Jack that he was more concerned about tweets, reposts, twitter, Instagram, and his Jack Pack that in the last three years in VPW, he’s done nothing.

A puzzled Tomlinson was then confronted by Kaide Lothbrok, accompanied by Beau Sullivan. He invited Jack to join him, that he was building something special, and wanted Jack to be a part of his family.

Tomlinson looked to the crowd, who Lothbrok called mindless cattle, and then announced that he has his own family, the Jack Pack, and he would not be letting them down before politely declining. Lothbrok dropped a warning before heading to the back.

THE EVEN STEVENS vs SHOOK CREW

Before the match started, the Assistant to the VPW Commissioner James M Sullivan came to the ring and decided to spice things up a bit after seeing the Even Stevens posting online how they were facing Shook Crew again. Sullivan then added the Coffee Lovers – Francis Kip Stevens and Phillip Cardigan – into this match, making it a triple threat match.

THE EVEN STEVENS vs SHOOK CREW vs THE COFFEE LOVERS

• The match broke down right away, with all three teams battling for supremacy to start things off as Shook Crew and the Coffee Lovers teamed up against the Even Stevens.
• Eventually, the underhanded tactics of the Even Stevens helped them turn the tails and gain control.
• Phillip Cardigan took a sip of coffee while he was down, giving him a boost of energy and giving him and his team a chance to get back into it. This wasn’t enough though as the Stevens brothers were able to steal the win.
• WINNERS: THE EVEN STEVENS

VPW WOMEN’S CHAMPIONSHIP
KAREN BAM BAM w/ Silk E Smooth
vs MARIE VALDOMINA
vs ALL NATURAL ASHLEY
vs THE RED RIGHT HAND MEGAN MASON

• The match started off with all four women going after each other in a fatal four way. With Megan and Ashley outside the ring, it left the champion and Marie ValDomina in the ring slugging it out.
• Ashley and Megan went back and forth before Ashley was knocked out of the ring. Megan focused on Karen, who quickly dodged her and escaped the ring. After being chased, Karen turned the tables and left her outside the ring.
• With Megan out of the way, Karen and Marie started to double team Ashley until a miscue from Marie caused their impromptu alliance to end. Megan then jumped into action and started to go after everyone.
• Megan was about to knock out Karen with her facebreaker finisher before being distracted by Karen’s manager. This left the champion in the ring with Marie, who she ended up locking in a camel clutch for the win.
• WINNER: AND STILL VPW WOMEN’S CHAMPION KAREN BAM BAM

THE LADY KILLER PERCY RYAN vs ADAM CAIN

• As Adam Cain was acknowledging the fans before the match, Percy Ryan ran onto the ropes and connected with a springboard kick, sending Cain tumbling outside the ring.
• Ryan showed a lot of dominance early on, but he hade one mistake that cost him the match as Cain rolled him up for a quick win.
• WINNER: ADAM CAIN

After the match, Kaide Lothbrok and his family came to ringside and offered the same arrangement to Percy Ryan that he did earlier in the night to Jack Tomlinson. Unlike the Vestler though, Ryan shook the hand of Kaide. Kaide, Beau Sullivan, and Percy circled the ring, stalking Adam Cain, before Jack Tomlinson stormed the ring to stand by Cain.

The Assistant to the VPW Commissioner James M Sullivan came out again, impressed by what he just saw, and decided to make a tag team match between the Wolves of Asgard and the team of Adam Cain and Jack Tomlinson.

KAIDE LOTHBROK & BEAU SULLIVAN
vs ADAM CAIN & JACK TOMLINSON

• Kaide and Beau worked on Adam Cain early to establish dominance.
• Finally, Cain tagged in his fresh partner Tomlinson who was able to stay ahead of his opponents with his power and speed.
• Cain tagged himself in, and while Tomlinson battled Kaide outside the ring, inside it was Beau that picked up the win.
• WINNER: KAIDE LOTHBROK AND BEAU SULLIVAN

PLATINUM MAX CASTER vs VSK

• The match started off simple enough; two experienced performers trying to set the pace. Lots of taunting from Max Caster, returned by VSK, after a couple of lock ups. The match went back and forth early on with neither wrestler gaining any control, answering each other move for move.
• The match spilled outside with VSK taking a dive, and the former VPW Champion gaining momentum, including a sliding backdrop, until Max was able to see a mistake and capitalize.
• Caster’s sheer power came into play, and along with his wrestling ability almost picked up the win after a Tower of London cutter from the corner. Caster then taunted the fans with a call back from VSK’s playbook, an attempted super kick. VSK countered with a Spanish fly.
• After coming back, VSK was caught off guard. With the referee distracted, Caster grabbed his chain, then knocked VSK out, but VSK kicked out.
• VSK went for his dudebuster finisher, but Caster wiggled out of it. He then shoved VSK into the corner, where he almost knocked Referee Steven Dumeng out. VSK turned around, ate a super kick from Caster. Platinum Max then went to the top for a flying elbow drop for the win.
• WINNER: PLATINUM MAX CASTER

FALLS COUNT ANYWHERE MATCH
CHAMPION ERIC JAMES VS RYAN GALEONE

While Eric James was the recognized champion, Galeone had stolen the title belt earlier in the year. As the challenger intently locked on the entrance, champion James stormed the ring from the other side wielding a bat.

• The match was brutal from the start with James pulling rigging rope from under the ring, using it as a weapon to whip the challenger. Eventually, Galeone would use the rope as a weapon himself, using it to choke out James, hanging him from over the ring ropes.
• The action did not stay in the ring long, as both competitors fought outside the ring. The action spilled to the production table, where Galeone launched James like a lawn dart. James came back, using a garbage pail to blind Galeone before using a chair to beat the garbage pail – and Galeone.
• The two battled into the back and into the outside bleachers where the injured Dezmond Cole was watching. Galeone launched James into the protective glass, then hit a power move onto the bleachers, before James came back and used one of Cole’s crutches against Galeone.
• The action returned back to the ring, fighting their way through the crowd. A few chairs were introduced along with a wooden door. Galeone remained dominant, but as he went to finish James, the champion slipped from Galeone’s grasps and drove him threw the prone door before covering the challenger.
• WINNER: AND STILL VPW NEW YORK STATE CHAMPION ERIC JAMES

VPW TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP
CHAMPIONS THE ABSOLUTE BRAND w/ Silk E Smooth vs INSANE ROCKERZ

• Before the match started, Karlo Vice told Alvin Alvarez they didn’t want to embarrass the Absolute Brand. He laid out the plan – the bell would ring, Alvin would lay down, Karlo would cover Alvin, and there would be new champions. The bell rang, and that’s what happened, except Alvarez kicked out at 2.
• The tag team champions started off strong with power and strength. Andre was tagged in and proceeded to brutalize Karlo. Things did not change when Mike Anthony was tagged in, as he was also in trouble. But with Karlo on the outside, he distracted Andre causing problems inside with Alvarez trying to tag him in with the empty corner.
• The Rockerz then double teamed Alvin, taking turns on his leg to wear him down before Andre was finally tagged in.
• Silk E Smooth saw an opportunity to get involved. He gave Alvin one of the tag team titles. Andre saw this and tried to take the belt away, causing a bit of confusion. Andre and Alvin started yelling at each other, Andre was distracted by Silk, and Alvin used it as a weapon.
• WINNERS VIA DISQUALIFICATION: THE INSANE ROCKERZ

Things got heated after the match between Alvin and Andre after the match regarding Silk’s involvement. Alvin tried to reason with Andre, saying that it’s a matter of winning and keeping the titles at all costs. For the second night in a row, Andre grabbed his title and left without his partner and manager.

CHAMPION COACH MAMMONE vs JOHNNY “PRETTY BOY” COLLINS

As ring announcer Rob Express was going to introduce the challenger, Collins demanded that Mammone be introduced first to try to get into the mind of the current VPW Champion.

• The match started off pretty hot for Coach Mammone, with the challenger on the defense. After a flurry of offense from the champion, Collins made it to the outside to counsel with the Even Stevens. Mammone then jumped from the top rope to neutralize all three for the time being.
• With Mammone in control, Steve Somerset grabbed a microphone and distracted the champion. Collins took over with a spear to turn the momentum into his favor. From there he dissected Mammone but was unable to pick up the win.
• Mammone was ready for his big splash sequence but as he ran around the ring, he was tripped by Stephen Azure. This brought the momentum back to Collins. Collins went into coach’s jacket to grab his whistle, but took too long to taunt the fans, giving Mammone a chance to regroup.
• The action went back and forth between Mammone and Collins. The champion connected with a full nelson bomb and was ready for the win but Somerset put the leg of Collins on the rope for the break. Meanwhile, with the referee distracted, Azure gave Collins a chain which he used to knock out Mammone.
• WINNER: AND NEW VICTORY PRO WRESTLI…

As Johnny Collins was declared the winner, Referee Steven Dumeng noted that Collins still had the chain in his hand from when he knocked Mammone out and immediately reversed his decision.

VPW Commissioner Kevin Fulton came out next to announce that this match would resume… next month at Disorderly Conduct.

In the beginning of 2020, Megan Mason’s stock started to rise as well with wins that put her in the top spot to challenge for the championship. But again, pandemic.

Finally, at VPW’s Homecoming, Megan finally had the chance to take on Karen for the top prize in the division but she fell short, thanks to some outside interference from manager Silk E Smooth.

This gave the champion the distraction she needed to end the campaign for Megan Mason to be champion with a roll up and a pulling of the tights.

That’s not fair, and Megan Mason said as much. She challenged Karen one more time, winner take all, and without any assistance our interference from Smooth.

The champion had other ideas. She decided that if Karen wanted another shot at the title, she’d have to earn it again by winning the Gold Rush Rumble.

Solidifying herself as the dominant champion, Karen BamBam reached out to VPW Management after the show and told them she wanted to face the best of all wrestling.

With their blessing, Karen then reached out and issued an open challenge to all women in wrestling that think they can compete in the same ring as her.

The first challenge will take place at the Gold Rush Rumble, with several local women reaching out to take on Karen for a chance to be the next VPW Women’s Champion.

Now, here’s a quick recap of where VPW left off in March of 2020.

• Phillip Cardigan debuted in VPW against Percy Ryan, who had just announced that he was done catering to the fans and that he was “The One” people came to see.
• Eric James successfully defended the New York State championship against Ryan Galeone… and the Influence added thug Johnny Clash.
• Megan Mason established herself as the top star in the Women’s Division to challenge Karen Bam Bam for the VPW Women’s Championship
• The Absolute Brand continued their dominance in the VPW Tag Team division after beating the Even Stevens
• Lance Anderson finished off the shortened year with a winning record of 2-1 after defeating Lawrence Spiral
• Coach Mammone whipped Kyler Khan in a brutal match to successfully defend the VPW Championship

What does 2021 bring?

First, VPW would like to announce the first show of 2021 is the King of New York to be held on Saturday January 30. However, due to the safety measures currently in place by the State of New York, we can’t do a live wrestling show.

Yet.

So what can we expect at the King of New York show? “We are looking to put together original content for our fans,” said new VPW owner John E Radioo. “It’s going to be a collaboration of ideas and concepts between myself and the roster of Victory Pro Wrestling.”

When asked about what exactly to expect, Radioo said that VPW would be making announcements over the next few weeks. “We know this does not replace wrestling, but we are looking forward to entertain the VPW Faithful.”
