A double steel cage main event. One a blood feud finally boiling over, the other a clash between old school and new school.

Tonight featured drama, chaos, and changes that closed 2019 for Victory Pro Wrestling on a high note for the standing room only VFW hall in Centereach.

Kyler KHAN vs Stockade

  • The match started with Khan playing mind games, running from Stockade
  • Once the action started, it was all Stockade. The battle spilled outside the ring, to the back, and around the ring where Stockade used a fan’s shoe to beat Khan.
  • Once the action returned to the ring, Khan took over.
  • With Stockade regaining momentum, Khan took a turnbuckle pad off. With the referee fixing the pad, he grabbed a steel chair from under the ring and pretended he was hit so Stockade would get disqualified. Stockade saw through the plan so he dropped down to.
  • While Khan protested he was hit (when he wasn’t), Stockade was able to set him up for his double arm DDT for the win.

WINNER: STOCKADE

Lance Anderson vs Steve Michaels

  • Once the bell rang, Anderson seemed to be too casual, while Michaels was ready for business. Anderson ducked a clothesline while saying hi to fans, then he ducked a second one to check his boots. The third connected, and from there it was all Michaels.
  • Anderson did try to come back, but his attempts only made Michaels angrier.
  • The match mercifully ended when Michaels locked Anderson in the Chicago Bearhug for the win.

WINNER BY SUBMISSION: STEVE MICHAELS

Johnny Collins came to the ring flanked by The Even Stevens. Collins announced that he was not medically cleared to perform. He even presented a note from Dr. Steve.

::Karlo Vice:: vs Jack Tomlinson

  • The rockstar debuted against Jack Tomlinson, who started things off with a flurry.
  • Vice was able to slow things down and take control, but Tomlinson was too fast for the newcomer.

WINNER: JACK TOMLINSON

TAG TEAM ACTION
Zo Agau & The Plague (Mike Anthony/Jesse Hurst)
vs Percival the Third/Dezmond Cole/Francis Kip Stevens

  • The action started before the bell rang as Agau and The Plague attacked their opponents before they got in the ring.
  • Stevens lead the charge to take control, but his team fell to the grasps of the Plague and Agau.
  • A miscalculation gave Cole, Percival, and Stevens a chance to come back and pick up the win.

WINNERS: PERCIVAL THE THIRD/FRANCIS KIP STEVENS/DEZMOND COLE

TRIPLE THREAT MATCH NUMBER 1 CONTENDERS MATCH VPW WOMENS CHAMPIONSHIP
Anastasia Morningstar vs Karen BamBam vs “Facebreaker” Megan Mason

  • Anastasia and Karen unintentionally focused on Megan to start the match.
  • Karen used her size to control the match where she could, with Anastasia able to use her power to overcome her.
  • Megan was fast and was able to take out Anastasia, but Karen was too much for her as she connected with a sidewalk slam for the win.

WINNER: KAREN BAMBAM

The Absolute Brand (Alvin Alvarez/The Giant Andre) with Silk E Smooth
vs SPITE (Johnny Clash/Liam Davis)

  • SPITE, the current CAP tag team champions, came out to try and overcome the Absolute Brand and put themselves into contention for the VPW Tag Team Championships.
  • This was the toughest challenge to date for Alvarez and Andre, as they were able to outlast and fight back throughout the match where other times would have fallen.
  • The sheer power of Andre and Alvarez’s ring experience was too much for SPITE in this contest.

WINNERS: THE ABSOLUTE BRAND

After the match, Alvarez called out the Cat and Cop Connection, wishing them luck and claiming that in January’s King of New York show, the Absolute Brand would be victorious.

VPW TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP
The Influence (Eric James/Jay Delta) w/ Puppet Jay Delta
vs Champions The Cat and Cop Connection

  • The New York State championship and the King of New York would be represented in this match as Eric James and Jay Delta would team up against the VPW Tag Team Champions as they looked to add more championship glory to The Influence.
  • The experience of the Influence worked well for them as the wily veterans controlled the match.
  • A miscue by Eric James, superkicking Jay Delta instead of Fighter Cat, cost them the win.

WINNERS AND STILL VPW TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS: THE CAT AND COP CONNECTION

After the match… Delta and James started to argue about how the match ended, with Delta blaming James. James said it was a mistake.

Kyler KHAN came to the ring to try to difuse the situation, when Delta noticed that Khan was wearing a “Kill the Puppet” shirt. VPW Commissioner Kevin Fulton shortly followed, with James giving his partners the finger as he left for the locker room. Fulton asked Khan about the shirt, who claimed it was a nice shirt and didn’t understand the problem.

VPW WOMEN’S CHAMPIONSHIP
Champion Ariela Nyx vs Nakoma Tala

  • Since winning the VPW Women’s championship, Ariela has successfully defended the championship against all comers, friend or foe.
  • Nakoma showed to be one of the tougher challenges to date, but still fell to Ariela’s neckbreaker.

WINNER AND STILL VPW WOMEN’S CHAMPION: ARIELA NYX

After the match… Karen BamBam came to the ring to rain on Ariela’s parade, congratulating Ariela on her win. She then focused on telling the champion to enjoy her Thanksgiving, then her Christmas, and her New Year’s, because at January 11th’s King of New York Karen BamBam would be the next VPW Women’s Champion.

STEEL CAGE DOUBLE MAIN EVENT
The Even Stevens (Steve Somerset/Stephen Azure) vs Bryce Donovan and Bobby Orlando

  • It started with a flurry of action from Orlando and Donovan, with the Even Stevens trying to take control.
  • After being dominated, the Stevens found a way top take control – by tying Bobby Orlando to the cage and taking him out of the equation. This gave them a two on one advantage against Donovan.
  • A mistake by Somerset knocked Azure down, which allowed Donovan the time to free his partner.
  • Back and forth action continued, but a double choke slam from Bryce Donovan gave his team the win.

WINNERS: BOBBY ORLANDO & BRYCE DONOVAN

STEEL CAGE MAIN EVENT
VPW CHAMPIONSHIP
Champion Mister Tibbs (w/ Jay Delta, Puppet Jay Delta, Kyler KHAN, Eric James, and Kevin Fulton) vs Coach Mammone

  • Before the match started, it was announced that by order of the ownership of Victory Pro Wrestling, Inc., that Jay Delta, Puppet Jay Delta, Kyler KHAN, and Eric James would be banned from ringside during the match.
  • It was also announced that it was one fall to a finish, meaning there would be no disqualifications.
  • Once the bell rang, it was action at 100mph. Mammone and Tibbs went back and forth to start things off and it didn’t look like it would ever slow down.
  • Mammone was able to mount an offense and looked to win with a stunner, but Tibbs kicked out. As the challenger looked to rally, he went to the top and Tibbs took over, pushing the referee into the ropes.
  • Tibbs then went after the arm of Mammone, injured at Monster Mash. The champion was ruthless in his assault, with a razor sharp focus.
  • Mammone used the cage to try to regain control, eventually busting the champion open. But the experienced Tibbs kept coming back.
  • Frustrated after another two count, Tibbs knocked out the referee. This gave him the opportunity to steal the key and give it to VPW Commissioner Kevin Fulton, who opened the cage and gave Tibbs a steel chair.
  • Tibbs used the chair to wear down Mammone’s arm some more, but when Mammone came back, Fulton entered the ring himself. The commissioner used the chair himself, but knocked himself. Mammone connected with a stunner to knock him out.
  • Tibbs tried to take advantage but he also met the Coach’s stunner, then a reverse DDT and splash.

WINNER AND NEW VICTORY PRO WRESTLING CHAMPION: COACH MAMMONE

Victory Pro Wrestling closed the year with Coach Mammone celebrating with a raucous audience, cheering long after the match ended.

What does this mean for Victory Pro Wrestling in 2020? We’ll find out when VPW returns to Centereach for The King of New York, Saturday January 11.

The Influence use a steel chair to send a message to Coach Mammone

The Influence started off the show with VPW Champion Mister Tibbs announcing that Kyler KHAN would not be appearing tonight, so VPW Commissioner Kevin Fulton emailed the champion earlier today announcing that Coach Mammone’s team would have to bench someone for what would now be a 3-on-3 challenge.

Stockade, Jack Tomlinson, Ryan Galeone, and the
officials lend a hand to Mammone

Coach Mammone then came out to answer the challenge of Mister Tibbs, but not before being assaulted by Commissioner Fulton with a steel chair. The onslaught ensured with all members of The Influence tearing Mammone apart, leading to the pack of wolves setting the chair under Mammone’s arm and Tibbs launching a stomp onto his arm.

Mammone’s partners in the match, Stockade, Jack Tomlinson, and Ryan Galeone, came to the ring to make the save but the damage had been done, and Mammone would have to seek medical attention.

BEAT THE CLOCK CHALLENGE
Johnny “Pretty Boy” Collins vs Bobby Orlando

Collins looked to win by any means possible
  • Johnny Collins was not happy that he would have to fight Bobby Orlando
  • Orlando started the match looking for the clock to beat. Not exactly what a “beat the clock” challenge is.
  • After 6 minutes 33 seconds, Collins finally scored the win, but not before distracting the referee and going below the belt.

WINNER: JOHNNY “PRETTY BOY” COLLINS

Anastasia Morningstar vs “Facebreaker” Megan Mason

It was at this moment that Anastatia Morningstar
realized, she messed up
  • Anastasia came out with new gear, but no “Mr. Crow”
  • Mason was on a mission to put on a good show for “Mother” and to pick up her first win in VPW, but the dominant Morningstar would dominate the match
  • Driving her knee into Morningstar’s face, Mason was able to secure the victory

WINNER: “FACEBREAKER” MEGAN MASON

BEAT THE CLOCK CHALLENGE
“Laid Back” Lance Anderson vs Bryce Donovan

Collins tried to kill time with outside hijinks

Before the match started, the ring announcer declared that Bryce Donovan had to beat 6:33. If he was able to do so, then he could pick a special stipulation for his match against Johnny Collins in November. Otherwise, Collins would choose the stipulation.

  • Collins came to the ring with Anderson to give him guidance, and to cause distractions to both the referee and to Donovan while the match went on.
  • Wasting over 3 minutes with these shenanigans, Donovan finally attacked Collins, then hatched an idea. He put Anderson to sleep, not with a sleeper hold, but with his jacket as a pillow and blanket.
  • The referee quietly counted the three count to end the match at 3:02

WINNER: BRYCE DONOVAN

After the match, Donovan announced that he would destroy Collins, but did not set the stipulation yet, likely playing mind games with Collins.

SPECIAL ATTRACTION MATCH
The Even Stevens vs Tony Vicinta & Tito Santana

Tony Vicinta and Tito Santana egg The Even Stevens
to get in the ring already
  • The Even Stevens have been talking trash for weeks on social media, but in person, they hesitated to start the match
  • Vicinta took a beating from The Even Stevens during the match. With Santana on the outside, it would be hard for him to get involved.
  • Tito finally got in the ring and was able to take the brothers Steven apart before tagging Vicinta back into the match to finish the match

WINNERS: TONY VICINTA & TITO SANTANA

VPW TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP
The Plague (Mike Anthony/Jesse Hurst) vs
Champions The Cat & Cop Connection (Fighter Cat/Grammar Cop)

The Cat and Cop Connection fight to stay alive
and retain the titles
  • The Plague attacked Fighter Cat, which lead to Grammar Cop leading the challenge to this match. This may have been a tactic to get themselves into the spotlight, but could they rise above the smoke?
  • During the match, Anthony and Hurst knocked Fighter Cat outside the ring. This gave them a chance to distract, then handcuff, Grammar Cop to the post.
  • Fighter Cat, after suffering a beating that showed signs of a title change, finally made the tag to his partner, still handcuffed to the corner. Anthony bragged about having the key, but like Icarus, he flew too close to the sun. Grammar Cop kicked him, then kicked the keys to himself.
  • The Cat and Cop Connection were able to work together again, and they were able to retain the championships.

WINNERS AND STILL VPW TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS: THE CAT AND COP CONNECTION

“Voodoo God” Zo Agau vs Francis Kip Stevens

Zo Agau uses some kind of voodoo powder
to control Francis Kip Stevens
  • The mysterious Zo Agau would add a new level of mystery to his repertoire as he faced Francis Kip Stevens.
  • With Stevens looking to return to the win column, Agau snatched his goggles off, then threw some kind of powder on them. He then used his mystical stick and threw it around, thus throwing Stevens around with it. Eventually, Stevens regained his goggles and fought back
  • Despite the fire of Stevens, it was Agau and his wishbone arm lock finisher that ended the match.

WINNER BY SUBMISSION: ZO AGAU

The Absolute Brand (Alvin Alvarez/Giant Andre) with Big Daddy vs
Notorious Dezmond Cole/Mr Wavy Tony

Face, meet Boot. The Giant Andre knocks down
Dezmond Cole
  • The Absolute Brand has representation by newcomer Big Daddy, who brought the team to the ring.
  • Mr. Wavy Tony took a beating in the match but was still able to shine and give his team a fighting chance.
  • Despite his speed and quickness, Cole and Tony were unable to overcome the sheer size and power of Alvarez and Andre

WINNERS: THE ABSOLUTE BRAND

After the match, Alvarez called out the VPW Tag Team Champions.

Karen BamBam vs The Ultra Violette

Karen BamBam stretches out The Ultra Violette
  • The Ultra Violette would have to rely on her speed and agility in this match and hope for Karen to make a mistake.
  • That mistake did not come soon enough, though she was able to keep BamBam off her game.
  • Karen worked on the back, wearing down Ultra Violette before covering her for the win.

WINNER: KAREN BAM BAM

FOUR-ON-THREE SPECIAL CHALLENGE
The Influence vs Ryan Galeone/Jack Tomlinson/Stockade

The match seemed different, and in the favor of the Influence, with the absence of Coach Mammone, who was announced earlier in the evening to be tended to at a local medical facility.

VPW Commissioner Kevin Fulton stalked
by all three opponents
  • The Influence used the numbers game to their advantage several times throughout the night.
  • Stockade proved to be a firehouse in the ring keeping The Influence at bay, but it was not enough to keep them from coming back.
  • Ryan Galeone and Jack Tomlinson were on fire, looking to bring VPW back to the fans and to the future of wrestling, but again, the experience of the Influence kept them at bay.
  • In a flashback to what happened earlier in the night, Tomlinson was in jeopardy of injury as Tibbs was set to jump onto a strategically prone chair. This came about after The Influence introduced a chair to the match, causing the disqualification.
  • The steel equalizer took out Stockade, then Galeone, and with The Influence about to seriously damage Tomlinson’s leg and end his career, Coach Mammone stormed the ring and cleared house.

WINNERS BY DISQUALIFICATION: RYAN GALEONE/JACK TOMLINSON/STOCKADE

Coach Mammone wants Mister Tibbs
inside a steel cage

After the match and after The Influence were sent scurrying to the back, Mammone announced that at November 23rd, he would not be coming for the title, but that there would be no Influence or other outside interference, that he would take on Mister Tibbs inside a steel cage!

What will happen when Coach Mammone finally gets his hands on Mister Tibbs one on one inside a steel cage?
