Good morning,

My name is Lenny Mascaro, and I am the general manager of Victory Pro Wrestling, Inc.  I am writing to everyone today to thank you for being a part of the Victory Pro Wrestling family, a family filled with history since 2005.

Last week, one of our fans, William Bushman, reached out to us.  We just announced in our newsletter that tickets were on sale for our next show.  William showed concern and disappointment with us because we are raising our ticket prices in 2019.

When Steve and Tina purchased the company in 2018, we were excited to become a part of the Victory Pro Wrestling family, meet with you, and provide the kind of wrestling entertainment you have come to expect from us.

We also have a commitment to the roster.  In the very beginning, we noticed that some changes needed to be made to honor our commitment to them for their safety and for the overall show.

For the ring, we noticed the wooden support was worn and weakened due to years of use and introduction to weather elements.  We also had worn mats that with age, became hardened, tattered, and spoiled.  The corner pads were also falling apart, not protective of the metal eye of the turnbuckle, possibly risking injury to our wrestlers.

We purchased new wooden support to increase the stability of the ring, new mats to help cushion the falls our wrestlers take when slammed and thrown in the ring, and new corner pads to protect them when they are hurled into the corners.

Outside the ring, we noted the New York State minimum mats were just not enough.  They did not protect around the entire ring, and many times would move and slip, providing an unsafe environment.

We decided to go with a 3' wide mat, one that would surround the entire ring.  We even went an additional 6' down the entranceway.  Our performers take high risks for you, and these mats allow them to do so without also risking their personal safety.

For years, our microphones have been of great quality but poor range.  They would crack and break in mid-sentence and would not allow the wrestlers or announcer in the ring properly convey stories or introduce wrestlers.  In the summer, we purchased new microphones with broader range.  The microphone no longer cuts off randomly when someone is using it.

We also saw the classic New York State championship was falling apart.  The leather strap was breaking and the metal plates were getting worn.  Current champion Steve Gibki and future champions deserve a championship belt they can be proud of, so we introduced the new New York State championship belt.

William Bushman has been a loyal fan and we understand his concerns about the new ticket prices.  To suddenly raise the rates came as a shock to William as it may well have to others.

This upcoming year, we plan on doing more for Victory Pro Wrestling so that we can continue to provide a better fan experience to you.  However, in order for us to do that, we had to make the tough call and raise our ticket prices.

Not once since our first show at VFW Post 4927 has Victory Pro Wrestling, Inc., raised rates.  VPW charged less than other promotions in the New York area for over twelve yearsWith the new rates, we will still charge less than other promotions for both ringside and our general admission tickets.

To William, and to all our VPW fans, we hope this letter helps share some insight to what we've done and where we want to go in the future.
