Opening Segment: Anthony Gangone Confronts Management

Anthony Gangone wasted no time igniting the crowd in Bay Shore. The challenger stormed to the ring and demanded Victory Pro Wrestling champion ECW King Alvin come out immediately so he would not have to wait to get his hands on him. Instead, VPW owner John E Radio answered the call. Radio attempted to reason with Gangone before the main event later in the night. Gangone thanked the owner for addressing him but warned that Alvin would not be thanking him later, promising the VPW Faithful would finally be rid of a champion many in the crowd have grown to despise.

Tough Love Tommy Heartfelt vs. Brother Greatness

Tough Love Tommy Heartfelt made his Bay Shore debut against the imposing Brother Greatness in a competitive opening contest. Heartfelt, who trained at House of Glory and recently debuted during VPW’s Springfield event in March, showed impressive poise early. Greatness used his size advantage to control stretches of the match, but Heartfelt responded with a fast paced offense and determination that energized the crowd. The newcomer demonstrated resilience throughout the bout, holding his own in his first appearance in Bay Shore and leaving a strong impression on the VPW Faithful against a powerful opponent.

VPW Women’s Championship: Champion Tiphani Grady vs. Kalypto

The scheduled triple threat match became a singles contest when Unwilting Tatiana was not medically cleared to compete. Challenger Kalypto seized the moment, attacking early and keeping champion Tiphani Grady on the defensive. The Bay Shore crowd loudly supported Kalypto, chanting “New Champ” as the momentum shifted throughout the match. Grady eventually fought back, delivering a headbutt before making the cover. Referee Emi counted the pinfall, but she did not notice that Kalypto’s foot was clearly on the bottom rope. Grady escaped with the victory and retained the championship amid heavy controversy.

Azure meets an old friend

With Mister Tibbs unable to compete, John E Radio returned to announce Azure’s replacement opponent. The arena erupted when the music of Steve Somerset played. Instead of walking through the entrance, Somerset appeared from the crowd and attacked his former partner from behind. The fight quickly spread throughout the building with no referee present to maintain order. The chaotic brawl was the first time they met in Bay Shore since Disorderly Conduct, when Azure injured Somerset after the loss of the tag team titles. The locker room eventually separated the two before Radio announced they would meet in an official match June 13 at Battle in Bay Shore 4.

VPW New York State Championship: Champion Rex Lawless vs. Bobby Buffet

Rex Lawless continued his tradition of open challenges for the New York State Championship when Bobby Buffet answered the call. Recently returning from a torn ACL, Buffet showed no signs of hesitation as he matched the champion’s power and intensity. The challenger pushed Lawless to the limit with a relentless offense that tested the champion throughout the match. Lawless responded with the resilience that has defined his title reign. After one of the toughest challenges of his run, Lawless secured the victory and once again proved why he remains the New York State Champion.

VPW Tag Team Championships: Champions Security Inc vs. Committed to Excellence

The rivalry between Security Inc and Adam Kirkland intensified when Kirkland returned at Before the Storm with a new partner, Skylar Mack. Known together as Committed to Excellence, the duo brought a fresh dynamic that kept the champions off balance. Security Inc relied on underhanded tactics to regain control, but their strategy backfired when Moses used a baton in front of the referee. The official immediately disqualified the champions, awarding the match to Committed to Excellence. After the decision, the champions assaulted their opponents and left Kirkland handcuffed in the ring, escalating tensions between the teams.

Valerie Verman’s Final Curtain

Valerie Verman’s expected farewell moment took an unexpected turn when champion Tiphani Grady entered the arena and mocked her absent rival. Grady taunted the crowd and questioned why Verman was not present to say goodbye. The moment was interrupted by Nikki Winters, a prospect from T2T Wrestling in New York City, who stepped forward and challenged the champion on the spot.

Winters quickly impressed the Bay Shore crowd with a powerful and fast paced offense that repeatedly caught Grady off guard. The challenger appeared to have the match won after rocking the champion and going for the pinfall. Moments earlier, Grady had shoved Winters into Referee Emi, leaving the official down. Referee Jason rushed to the ring and counted the three, seemingly crowning Winters the new Women’s Champion.

However, Referee Emi recovered just in time to see that Grady’s foot was clearly on the ropes during the pinfall. Confusion broke out between the two officials as they attempted to sort out the decision, creating chaos in the ring.

The situation escalated when Silk E Smooth, who had been at ringside as part of the commentary team, entered the scene. Smooth grabbed Winters and drove her head first into the ring post before throwing her back into the ring. With the challenger injured, the match was restarted.

Grady quickly took advantage of the moment. The champion covered the dazed Winters as Referee Emi returned to position and counted the three, allowing Grady to escape with the victory and retain the VPW Women’s Championship despite Winters delivering a breakout performance.

VPW Championship No Disqualification Match: ECW King Alvin (c) vs. Dr. Sleep Anthony Gangone

The main event erupted into chaos before the opening introductions were even completed. Dr. Sleep Anthony Gangone blindsided VPW Champion ECW King Alvin, launching the no disqualification match into an immediate brawl. With no restrictions in place, both men used chairs and wooden boards throughout a brutal fight that spilled around the ring and ringside area.

The battle took a shocking turn when Adam Cain made a surprise return. Cain grabbed a steel chair and handed it to his former best friend and tag partner Gangone, allowing the challenger to unleash a vicious assault on the champion. Gangone appeared moments away from victory as he locked Alvin in a sharpshooter in the center of the ring.

Before Alvin could submit, Cain suddenly struck Gangone with a cane, stunning the challenger and drawing loud boos from the Bay Shore crowd. Alvin quickly capitalized on the moment, covering the fallen Gangone as the referee counted the three. With the controversial assist from Cain, ECW King Alvin retained the Victory Pro Wrestling Championship to close out VPW TWENTY.

What will happen when VPW presents The Battle in Bay Shore 4 on Saturday night, June 13?

Two major matches have already been signed for the milestone show.

  • Committed to Excellence will receive another opportunity to challenge Security Inc for the VPW Tag Team Championships. After the controversial ending to their last encounter, management has added a major stipulation. If the match ends in a disqualification, the championships can change hands.
  • Another rivalry set to continue involves former partners turned bitter enemies. Azure and Steve Somerset erupted into a wild fight at VPW TWENTY that spilled throughout the building and required the locker room to separate them. Now the two will meet in an official match at Battle in Bay Shore 4 as their deeply personal feud continues to escalate.

ICYMI: A New Champion was crowned, Grady meets her challengers for April, Adam Kirkland returns, and a big announcement for Mister Tibbs goes awry. Before the event officially began, Commissioner Kevin Fulton welcomed the Bay Shore crowd before being interrupted by ECW King Alvin. Alvin demanded to be handed the vacant Victory Pro Wrestling Championship without competition. Samwell Thompson quickly intervened, confronting Alvin and preventing the situation from escalating further. The confrontation set the tone for the evening and solidified the main event, with both men set to battle for the vacant championship.

David Graham def. The Artist Formerly Known as Dash

The King of New York David Graham, accompanied by Silk E. Smooth, wasted no time asserting control against The Artist Formerly Known as Dash. Graham opened the match with a brutal kick and nearly secured a quick victory. Dash fought back and created several opportunities to shift momentum, showcasing resilience throughout the contest. Despite the comeback effort, Graham regained control and delivered his Final Cut to secure the win.

After the match, it was revealed that Graham suffered a broken jaw during the bout and would be sidelined indefinitely.

Kalypto def. Nat Castle and Clara Carreras

Originally scheduled as a three way contest, the match was changed when Valerie Verman was unable to compete, opening the door for Nat Castle to enter. Castle, Kalypto and Clara Carreras delivered a fast paced triple threat filled with striking exchanges and high impact offense. Kalypto’s Muay Thai background and Carreras’ technical ability kept the match competitive throughout. In the end, Castle blinded Carreras with spices on the outside, leaving Kalypto to capitalize on an opening to secure the victory, earning a future opportunity to challenge for the VPW Women’s Championship in April.

Azure def. Nick Robles

Azure continued to display his ruthless edge in a dominant performance against the returning Nick Robles. Robles showed determination and managed brief moments of offense, but Azure maintained control with calculated aggression. As the match progressed, Azure systematically broke down his opponent and secured the victory. Following the match, Azure dragged Robles to the back, sending a clear message about his increasingly dangerous mindset.

Rex Lawless def. Sebastian Amor to retain the VPW New York State Championship

Rex Lawless issued another open challenge for the New York State Championship, which was answered by Sebastian Amor. Amor relied on speed and agility to challenge the champion and pushed Lawless further than most challengers in recent memory. The match featured a competitive clash of styles, with Amor creating multiple near falls. Ultimately, Lawless used his strength and power to regain control and finish the match, successfully retaining his championship.

Commissioner Kevin Fulton later returned to the ring with what he described as a major announcement. Fulton introduced his longtime friend, Mister Tibbs, a decorated former VPW Tag Team Champion, New York State Champion, Victory Pro Wrestling Champion and King of New York. As Fulton began to address what appeared to be plans for VPW Twenty in April, the moment was abruptly interrupted by Azure.

Azure made his way to the ring and engaged in a tense staredown with Tibbs. The situation escalated quickly when Azure struck Fulton with a sudden punch, igniting a brawl between himself and Tibbs. The two exchanged heavy shots until Azure attempted to incapacitate Tibbs with his signature neck snapping attack. Fulton intervened just in time to prevent further damage. Following the altercation, Tibbs made his intentions clear, telling Fulton to forget the original announcement and instead demanded a match against Azure at VPW Twenty.

Security Inc. def. Guapo Suave to retain the VPW Tag Team Championship

Security Inc. defended their titles against Guapo Suave following the confrontation at King of New York. Loverboy Lex and Diego Alvarez brought intensity and cohesion, pushing the champions throughout the match. Despite the challengers’ strong showing, Security Inc. once again relied on underhanded tactics. A baton shot to Diego Alvarez allowed the champions to steal the victory and retain.

After the match, Adam Kirkland appeared. With Security Inc focused on Kirkland, an unknown man jumped the guardrail and attacked the champs from behind. Kirkland and the unknown assailant – later recognized as Skylar Mack, Kirkland’s new partner in the tag team Committed To Excellence – then fought the champions until Murray and Moses escaped from the ring.

Tiphani Grady def. Jacky Go to retain the VPW Women’s Championship

In one of her toughest defenses to date, Tiphani Grady faced German standout Jacky Go. The challenger’s experience and control created serious problems for the champion, as Go dictated much of the pace early. Grady weathered the storm and found an opening to turn the tide. She capitalized on that moment to secure the victory and retain the championship.

After the match, Kalypto confronted Grady and announced that at VPW Twenty, she would not be alone, revealing that The Unwilting Tatiana would return to make it a triple threat match.

Samwell Thompson vs. ECW King Alvin for the vacant VPW Championship ended in referee stoppage

Winner: ECW King Alvin (new VPW Champion)

The main event crowned a new Victory Pro Wrestling Champion following the vacancy created in February. Samwell Thompson entered with a renewed sense of purpose, while ECW King Alvin brought a relentless and brutal approach.

But before the match started, Anthony Gangone came to the ring to protest it should have been him in this match, and that Alvin was going to pay.

The match featured a clash of speed and power, with the action spilling to the outside multiple times. Thompson showed resilience and heart, but Alvin’s aggression proved overwhelming. After busting Thompson open and continuing the assault, the referee stopped the match, awarding Alvin the championship.

Alvin added further damage with a Vader Bomb after the stoppage. Anthony Gangone rushed the ring, sparking a brawl that required officials to intervene. VPW owner John E. Radioo then announced that Alvin would defend the championship against Gangone at VPW Twenty in a no disqualification match.

Commissioner Kevin Fulton welcomed the VPW Faithful before delivering difficult news. Da Big Boofa Dezmond Cole had sustained an injury with no timetable for his return and had been stripped of the Victory Pro Wrestling Championship. Before Fulton could outline the plan for the vacant title, Dr. Sleep Anthony Gangone interrupted and demanded the championship opportunity he believed he earned. ECW King Alvin Alvarez soon followed, also staking his claim.

Samwell Thompson then entered the discussion, stating that while Cole deserved the title, he intended to earn his own opportunity. Fulton made it official. Later that night, Gangone faced Thompson, and the winner would meet Alvarez on March 13 for the vacant championship. Gangone exited with a warning that he intended to hurt Thompson.

King of New York Qualifier

Bobby Buffet def. Georgio Lawrence (6:45)

The first qualifier operated under Beat the Clock rules. Georgio Lawrence targeted Buffet’s legs early and nearly gained control, but Buffet countered with power offense to shift momentum. After a competitive exchange that included near falls and a sleeper hold by Lawrence, Buffet rallied with a spinebuster and finished the match with a rolling clothesline at 6:45, setting the pace for the remaining qualifiers.

During the evening, VPW presented its 2025 Year-End Awards. Match of the Year went to Dezmond Cole for his Summer Showdown victory over Bryce Donovan to win the VPW Championship.

King of New York Qualifier

Azure def. Stan Michael (8:07)

Azure continued to show a darker demeanor in his match against Stan Michael. Michael energized the crowd and used his speed to create openings, but Azure halted his momentum with a punishing attack that included hanging Michael across the top rope. After sustained offense and a near fall off a scorpion death drop variation, Azure snapped Michael’s neck and secured the win at 8:07. Brother Greatness made the save after the bell.

The Even Stevens were recognized as the 2025 Tag Team of the Year.

Commissioner Fulton then presided over Security Inc.’s VPW Tag Team Championship Celebration. Officer Ronald Moses and Guard Dog Malcom Murray criticized the company and declared themselves the law of VPW. Their celebration was interrupted by Lex Lozano and Diego Alvarez of Guapo Suave, who issued a challenge for March 13. After a heated exchange, a brawl broke out, with Guapo Suave standing tall. Fulton later made the title match official.

David Graham was named 2025 Most Improved Wrestler.

King of New York Qualifier

David Graham def. The Artist Formerly Known as Dash (0:07)

Graham attacked Dash before the bell and the two went back and forth outside the ring. Dash was able to come back strong, throw Graham into the ring, but Graham escaped before the match started. Then as Dash went to bring Graham back, he struck Dash with Dash’s own guitar. Once the match officially began, Graham followed with his finishing maneuver for a seven second victory, eliminating Azure from contention and advancing to the finals.

Azure’s betrayal of Steve Somerset was named the 2025 Shock of the Year.

King of New York Qualifier

Brother Greatness def. Leo Sparrow (5:17)

With 6:45 as the time to beat, Brother Greatness needed a decisive win. Sparrow controlled much of the match and applied a sleeper hold in an effort to shorten the contest. Silk E. Smooth observed from ringside. In the closing moments, Sparrow attempted to use kale as a distraction, but it backfired and struck David Graham at ringside. Brother Greatness capitalized with a roll up at 5:17 to advance to the finals against Graham.

Gabriel Skye won the 2025 Debut of the Year. Security Inc. vs. The Even Stevens was named Feud of the Year.

Kalypto and The Unwilting Tatiana def. Tiphani Grady and Valerie Verman

VPW Women’s Champion Tiphani Grady teamed with Valerie Verman against Kalypto and The Unwilting Tatiana. The woman scoring the fall would earn a future title opportunity. After a back and forth tag match that saw Grady and Verman isolate Tatiana, momentum shifted when Tatiana connected with a spear on Grady for the pin. Tatiana became the new No. 1 contender. Post match chaos erupted until Kalypto made the save with a kendo stick. Tatiana required medical attention afterward and was helped to the back.

The Unforgiven Salem was named 2025 Female Wrestler of the Year.

Samwell Thompson def. Anthony Gangone

The night’s opening announcement culminated in a high stakes main event. Gangone attacked before the bell and controlled early action, targeting Thompson inside and outside the ring. Thompson responded with a series of suplexes and high impact maneuvers, but Gangone repeatedly halted his momentum.

As Gangone applied his Sharpshooter, Alvin Alvarez interfered with a chair. The referee was knocked down in the chaos. Thompson capitalized, delivered his finisher and secured the victory. Afterward, Alvarez attacked Thompson, but Thompson fought him off with a DDT. The championship match between Thompson and Alvarez was set for March 13.

Dezmond Cole was announced as the 2025 Men’s Wrestler of the Year.

2026 King of New York Finals

David Graham def. Brother Greatness

The finals featured David Graham against Brother Greatness with a future New York State Championship opportunity at stake. The crowd strongly supported Brother Greatness, while Graham drew heavy boos.

The match was competitive from the outset, featuring near falls, submission attempts and heavy strikes. Silk E. Smooth appeared at ringside during the bout. Both competitors exchanged high impact maneuvers, including brainbusters and a piledriver by Graham.

The referee was inadvertently knocked down during a high risk attempt. With no official in position, Graham struck Brother Greatness with a cane after taking it from Smooth. When the referee recovered, Graham secured the pin to win the 2026 King of New York. Commissioner Kevin Fulton presented Graham with the crown and robe, cementing his place in VPW history.

Diamond Champion Notorious Mimi def. Journey Burke, Esq.

Disorderly Conduct opened with the first of five championship bouts as Notorious Mimi defended the Belle 2 Bell Diamond Championship against Journey Burke, Esq. The two met in singles competition for the first time and delivered a competitive, back and forth contest. Journey pushed the champion to her limit and came close to becoming the third Diamond Champion, but Mimi found a way to survive and retain her title.

DOG COLLAR MATCH
DRxSLEEP Anthony Gangone def. Infamous Adam Cain

The second match of the night featured a brutal Dog Collar match between Dr. Sleep Anthony Gangone and the Infamous Adam Cain, who received a strong positive reaction from the crowd. With both men tethered together by a 10-foot steel chain, the action quickly turned violent. Former manager Silk E. Smooth appeared at ringside and exchanged words with Cain, creating just enough of a distraction for Gangone to capitalize and steal the victory.

The Unwilting Tatiana def. Valerie Verman
The Unwilting Tatiana finally got her hands on Valerie Verman after months of frustration. Tatiana had been chasing the VPW Women’s Championship since her return earlier this year, only to be removed from contention by Verman. When the two collided at Disorderly Conduct, it was intense from the opening bell. Tatiana emerged victorious after a hard fought battle, but the celebration was short lived. Samwell Thompson distracted Tatiana, allowing Verman to attack from behind and leave her laid out in the ring following the Prettiest Pedigree.

NEW YORK STATE CHAMPIONSHIP
Champion Rex Lawless def. “Guarantee” Mike Zee and Franco Costanzo

The New York State Championship was next as the Rex Lawless Open Challenge continued. Debuting challenger “Guarantee” Mike Zee stepped up, but before the match could officially begin, “The Last Bronx Italian” Franco Costanzo made his return to Victory Pro Wrestling and inserted himself into the contest. Lawless found himself at a numbers disadvantage early, but his strength and power proved too much to overcome. Lawless fought through both challengers to retain the championship.

VPW WOMEN’S CHAMPIONSHIP
Champion Tiphani Grady def. Muay Thai Monster Kalypto

VPW Women’s Champion Tiphani Grady then defended her title against the rookie standout from Queens, Kalypto. Grady’s power gave her the edge, but Kalypto’s Muay Thai background kept her competitive throughout the match. In the end, Grady used the ropes for leverage to secure the victory and retain the championship.

Following the match, Silk E. Smooth addressed the crowd, claiming he was finished managing losers. After praising Grady’s accomplishments, he stepped aside to introduce his client, Nahir Robles, making her return to VPW for the first time since January. The upbeat Robles of the past was gone, replaced by a focused and aggressive challenger determined to win the championship. Robles appeared poised for victory until Samwell Thompson and Valerie Verman arrived at ringside, creating distractions for both the referee and Robles. The momentary lapse proved costly, as Robles backed into the champion and fell victim to a devastating Grady Bomb, allowing Grady to retain once again.

VICTORY PRO WRESTLING CHAMPIONSHIP
Champion Dezmond Cole def. Strong Style Gabriel Skye by DQ

The Victory Pro Wrestling Championship was on the line next as Dezmond Cole defended against his closest friend and rival, Strong Spirit Gabriel Skye. The two delivered a classic encounter filled with high flying, high octane offense. The match unraveled when ECW King Alvin Alvarez appeared and disrupted the finish, laying out the champion. Skye, believing he was moments away from winning the title, accidentally struck Cole amid the chaos. The 2025 Gold Rush Rumble winner Alvarez stood tall after a brutal assault, declaring that the Victory Pro Wrestling Championship was firmly in his sights.

THE MAIN EVENT
VPW TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIPS
2025 Kings of New York Security Inc def. Champions The Even Stevens

The main event saw three time VPW Tag Team Champions The Even Stevens defend against the 2025 Kings of New York, Security Inc., inside a steel cage. The fight began before the champions even entered the ring and only escalated once the cage door closed. Officer Ronald Moses and Guarddog Malcolm Murray shifted the momentum by handcuffing Stephen Azure to the ropes while they dismantled Steve Somerset. After being trapped in a submission hold for over a minute, Somerset was forced to submit, crowning Security Inc. as the new VPW Tag Team Champions.

After the match, Azure reunited with his partner in the ring, only to shock the crowd by turning on him. Azure viciously attacked the already battered Somerset and snapped his neck, bringing Disorderly Conduct to a stunning and disturbing conclusion.
