What was scheduled to be a Victory Pro Wrestling Championship match between WWE ID Prospect and reigning champion Bryce Donovan and challenger “The Rocker Boy” Nick Robles quickly unraveled into chaos at Memorial Mayhem in Yonkers this weekend.
As Donovan made his entrance, he was blindsided by David Graham, the No. 1 contender, in a premeditated assault that saw both Graham and Robles teaming up to batter the champion. But the numbers game didn’t last long — Sebastian Amor stormed the ring to even the odds, chasing off the attackers.
Earlier in the night, Graham had picked up a win from Amor, then attacking him after the match, intensifying the personal rivalry between them. With tensions boiling, Donovan seized the microphone and proposed a new match: a tag team bout pitting Donovan and Amor against Robles and Graham.
The impromptu main event delivered high-impact action from bell to bell. Robles and Graham isolated Amor early, using quick tags and punishing tactics to keep the high-flyer grounded. But once Donovan tagged in, the champion unleashed a flurry of offense, clearing the ring with power moves that had the Yonkers crowd on their feet.
Donovan nearly caught Graham with a chokeslam, but the No. 1 contender managed to escape. Robles, however, was not so lucky — Donovan connected with a thunderous chokeslam to secure the win for his team.
With momentum on his side, Donovan now looks ahead to Battle in Bay Shore 3, where he will finally defend the Victory Pro Wrestling Championship against Graham in a highly anticipated showdown.
“David Graham wants a fight? He’ll get one in Bay Shore,” Donovan said after the match.
