BAY SHORE, N.Y. — The newly crowned King of New York is wasting no time making his presence felt, but the road ahead for David Graham may already be filled with consequences.

At VPW’s King of New York event, Graham captured the crown and the prestige that comes with it. Yet the way he reached the top has left a target on his back, especially from one man who believes he was robbed of a fair fight.

Graham has made it clear he will do whatever it takes to stand above the rest of the roster. Aligning himself with Silk E Smooth has only reinforced that message. The partnership has not earned Graham any popularity with the fans, but it has strengthened his resolve. With Smooth offering guidance and strategy, Graham now believes his rise to the top of Victory Pro Wrestling is not just ambition, but destiny.

That destiny began to take shape during the opening round of the King of New York tournament, where Graham met The Artist Formerly Known as Dash.

The two battled around ringside before the match even officially began. Emotions ran high as both competitors tried to gain an early advantage. Then came the moment that still has people talking. Just before the opening bell could ring, Graham delivered a devastating guitar shot that left Dash knocked out cold. With Dash unable to continue, Graham advanced and kept his path to the crown alive.

Later that night, Graham completed his run and walked away as the new King of New York.

Dash, however, has not forgotten what happened.

The charismatic and unpredictable performer has demanded another opportunity to face Graham under proper circumstances. For Dash, it is about pride and redemption. For Graham, it is about proving the crown belongs exactly where it is.

At VPW Before the Storm on Friday, March 13 in Bay Shore, the two will collide once again. The crown has been won, but the controversy surrounding it is far from over.

What will happen when VPW presents Before the Storm on Friday night, March 13?
