BAY SHORE, N.Y. — Victory Pro Wrestling Tag Team Champions The Even Stevens successfully defended their titles against Picture Perfect Studios at Summer Showdown, but the celebration was short-lived.
Moments after the final bell, the champions were blindsided by Security Inc. As the dust began to settle, Cain Industries stormed the ring and launched a second wave of attacks, turning the ring into complete chaos.

Commissioner Kevin Fulton quickly made his way to ringside to regain control of the situation. With tensions boiling over between all three teams, Fulton immediately denied Cain Industries a tag team title opportunity, citing their unsanctioned assault as the final straw.

But before the commissioner could exit, Steve Somerset of The Even Stevens took the microphone and made an unexpected request. Instead of walking away from the drama, Somerset urged Commissioner Fulton to reconsider. He explained that he and his partner, Stephen Azure, were ready to close the book on this long-standing rivalry once and for all.
Fulton reluctantly agreed.
The commissioner announced that at the Gold Rush Rumble, scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 9 at Pro Game Sports in Bay Shore, The Even Stevens would defend the VPW Tag Team Championships against both Cain Industries and Security Inc in a triple threat tag team match.
This highly anticipated bout is expected to be one of the most chaotic and emotionally charged matches in VPW history. All three teams have crossed paths throughout 2024, exchanging words, wins and wild brawls, but the stakes have never been this high.
The Even Stevens, now in the midst of one of the most dominant runs of their careers, look to cement their legacy by taking out two of their fiercest rivals in one night. Security Inc, the inaugural Kings of New York tournament winners, aim to finally earn the respect they feel they’ve been denied. Cain Industries, meanwhile, will need to put their internal friction aside if they want to walk out with the gold.
With the tag team division on fire and championship implications at the center of it all, the Gold Rush Rumble could very well be the final chapter in this three-way war—or the start of a brand-new one.
