Victory Pro Wrestling will make its Westchester County debut Sunday, May 25, with Memorial Mayhem: The Cornerman’s Cup, live from VFW Post 3083 at 363 McLean Ave. in Yonkers.
The event, part of VPW’s 19th anniversary celebration tour, will feature a full lineup of championship bouts, high-stakes matches and the first-ever Empire State Casino Royale for the Cornerman’s Cup — a new tradition debuting in Yonkers.
In the main event, Victory Pro Wrestling Champion Bryce Donovan will defend his title against Rocker Boy Nick Robles. Donovan, one of the most dominant champions in VPW history, looks to continue his reign as he faces a hungry challenger in Robles, who has made a name for himself with hard-hitting performances throughout the Northeast.
The VPW Tag Team Championships will also be on the line as current titleholders The Even Stevens square off against the ruthless Cain Industries. After winning the belts at Before the Storm, The Even Stevens are determined to keep their third title reign alive, but Cain Industries has momentum on their side and eyes on gold.
VPW’s women’s division will be showcased as “The Latina Spice” Nat Castle faces JC Storm. Castle has been making waves this year, while Storm looks to make a statement in her VPW singles debut.
Other matches include David Graham facing rising star Sebastian Amor, and The Body Snatchers taking on Security Inc. in a clash of tag team styles. In singles action, JJ Doze will battle Brooklyn Outlaw Donovan in a match that could have title implications down the road.
Highlighting the night will be the first-ever Empire State Casino Royale, a multi-competitor battle royal-style match where the winner will be awarded the Cornerman’s Cup, a prize that comes with prestige, bragging rights, and a title opportunity of their choosing.
Scheduled to compete in the Casino Royale are: ABBS, Aleck Hammer, Dr. Hilary P. Wisdom, Lucha Pig Ham, The Artist Formerly Known As Dash, Diego El Trabajador, Geronimo, Ivan Isaac, Jay Vara, Jean Carlo, Above Average Joe Scott, KJ Brown, Melvin Ramos, Merc, Delightful Dan the Candyman, Shotgunn Adams, The Irish Wolf, Supa Nitro and Rick Recon.
Doors open at 4:30 p.m. with bell time set for 5 p.m. Tickets are available now at VictoryProWrestling.com. Fans are encouraged to purchase in advance as limited seating is available at the venue.
