BAY SHORE NY – Clara Carreras has built her reputation on championship victories, but one unexpected interference has left unfinished business heading into VPW Thanks for Everything. On Sunday, Nov. 8, Carreras will face a new challenge when Lady Glory makes her official Victory Pro Wrestling debut at Pro Game Sports in Bay Shore.
Carreras knows what it takes to dominate the women’s division, having captured championships in Invictus, MFPW, SKPW and ISPW, along with earning Grand Slam Champion status in WWX. Now, she has an opportunity to make even more history in December, when she competes for the vacant VPW Tag Team Championships with a chance to become the first woman to hold tag team gold in VPW.
But before that opportunity arrives, Carreras must settle a score with a newcomer who has already made her presence felt. During Carreras’ recent championship challenge against Tiphani Grady at Matt Pro Wrestling in New Jersey, Lady Glory shocked everyone by stopping the referee’s count just as Carreras appeared poised to win.
The interference created chaos, distracting both Carreras and the referee and giving Grady the opening she needed to connect with the Grady Bomb and retain the VPW Women’s Championship. Carreras was robbed of her opportunity, and Lady Glory has made herself a target.
Lady Glory regularly competes for Three Legacies Wrestling and recently made her Major League Wrestling debut, bringing momentum and confidence into her first VPW appearance. However, making an impression and surviving Clara Carreras are two very different challenges.
