Victory Pro Wrestling returns to Bay Shore on Saturday October 10 to kick off the Fall season with Haunted Ground when we return home to Pro Game Sports in Bay Shore.
The winner of the Gold Rush Rumble also wins an opportunity to challenge for any active championship in Victory Pro Wrestling. Traditionally speaking, they make an announcement on the first event after winning to tell the VPW Faithful which championship they intend to challenge for, but the winner of this year’s Rumble, the Pectoral Poseidon Rex Lawless, may have already made his intentions clear.
After Victory Pro Wrestling Champion Anthony Gangone defeated Prince Ahmed in August, he was attacked by Black Diamond. Lawless came out to make the save, then attacked Gangone, leaving the champion for dead as he held the Victory Pro Wrestling Championship above his head.
Rex Lawless will be in Bay Shore in October, and we hope to get more answers than questions at Haunted Ground.
New York State Champion “The Veteran” David Graham has created a “closed” challenge for the championship. He is giving people the opportunity to earn their right to the title – but only if they can first defeat him. Several talents have thrown their name in the hat, most recently Tommy Heartfelt in Connecticut, only to fail when the bell rang.
At the Gold Rush Rumble, Graham looked to capture the victory but was himself eliminated by Mister Tibbs. The former standard bearer and VPW Grand Slam champion was impressive in his return to VPW, showing a fire in the ring that rivals when he was on top of Victory Pro Wrestling a decade earlier. Graham was reportedly frustrated after being eliminated. Could there be a match in the making here?
VPW Women’s Champion Amity LaVey looks to return to Bay Shore as champion, but she has to get past Top Tier Tiana James first when Rising Stars Women’s Wrestling returns to Deer Park September 19. Will the Doctor’s Favorite Patient return to Bay Shore with the gold, or will Tiana James make her VPW debut already on top of the mountain?
Whomever wins looks to be facing the top contender to the title – according to The Indy Experience rankings – The Monster Kalypto. One year into her pro wrestling career and Kalypto has shown a unique dominance with her opponents, only to lose because of friendships and alliances that have fallen apart.
After her brutal attack on the Unwilting Tatiana earlier this summer, Kalypto has been on a tear. Between her dominant win over Tatiana at the Gold Rush Rumble, then her incredible performance in the Gold Rush Rumble match, she continued her winning ways by dominating the talented Bombshell Beauty Kayla Lopez last month in Connecticut.
Regardless of who wins in Deer Park in September, Kalypto awaits.
The last time the VPW Tag Team Championships were held in abeyance was in 2023. Bryce Donovan was injured and Shook Crew were forced to relinquish the titles. Most recently, a brutal attack on Skyler Mack by Security Inc caused him to not be able to defend the title with Adam Kirkland at Outside the Box in Riverhead, and again a week later at the Gold Rush Rumble in Bay Shore. Commissioner Kevin Fulton made the announcement and reclaimed the championships.
VPW Management is currently working on a solution to crown a new champion in the tag team division and will be making an announcement, but is apparently also looking at a legal matter with an injunction recently filed against Commissioner Fulton and Victory Pro Wrestling by none other than Journey Burke Esq on behalf of Security Inc.
