PORTLAND CT – A championship will be on the line when Victory Pro Wrestling returns to Concentric Brewing Company on Saturday, Aug. 29, for Riverfront Rumble 5. The event will benefit “A Fight Against” and raise money for the American Cancer Society.
For The Monster Kalypto, this is not a Victory Pro Wrestling championship, but the EWA Women’s Championship she won earlier this year. It is about proving that every setback, every betrayal and every missed opportunity has only made her more dangerous.
In Kalypto’s mind, she has repeatedly been denied the opportunities in Victory Pro Wrestling she deserves. Friends have turned against her. Championship pursuits have slipped away. Yet every disappointment has added fuel to an already intimidating competitor.
Her recent performance at the Gold Rush Rumble sent a clear message. Kalypto eliminated three opponents and reminded everyone why she remains one of the most dominant forces in women’s wrestling. She also expanded her reputation with an appearance at Wrestling Open while continuing her reign as EWA Women’s Champion.
Standing across the ring will be Bombshell Beauty Kayla Lopez.
Lopez began training just a few years ago at the Elite Pro Wrestling Training Center, but her rise has been impossible to ignore. A regular competitor for Green Mountain Wrestling in Vermont, Lopez has also gained valuable experience through several appearances on AEW Collision.
Kalypto believes this will be a successful title defense. Lopez plans to prove her wrong.
At Riverfront Rumble 5, confidence will collide with ambition, and only one woman will leave Portland carrying championship gold.
