RIVERHEAD NY – VPW New York State Champion David Graham has ended the era of open invitations.
After successfully defeating Rex Lawless, the new champion has officially closed the open challenge. At Summer Showdown, Graham announced that anyone hoping to compete for the New York State Championship must first defeat Graham inside the ring. Filipinot Grigio was the first to challenge – and fall – to the Veteran’s decree.
That new standard will be tested once again Saturday, Aug. 1, when Victory Pro Wrestling presents Outside the Box at Box Pickleball in Riverhead.

Former New York State Champion Dante Drago makes his long-awaited return to VPW after a 19-month absence. Widely respected as one of the hardest-working competitors to ever hold the title, Drago built his reputation through relentless determination and unforgettable performances.
