RIVERHEAD NY – The future of the Victory Pro Wrestling Tag Team Championship hangs by a thread heading into VPW Outside the Box on Saturday, Aug. 1, at Box Pickleball in Riverhead.
Committed to Excellence entered the summer as the standard bearers of VPW’s tag team division, but everything changed at Summer Showdown. A vicious post-match assault by Security Inc left champion Skyler Mack battered. On Monday night, VPW announced through its official social media channels that Mack has not been medically cleared to compete, throwing the championship picture into complete uncertainty.
Now the opportunity belongs to two hungry teams determined to seize the moment.
Security Inc will battle ManteChica at Outside the Box with one prize in sight. The winner earns a VPW Tag Team Championship match at Gold Rush Rumble on Aug. 8.
For Security Inc’s Ronald Moses and Malcom Murray, this is about revenge. The former champions insist they never truly lost their titles, claiming disqualification cost them the gold instead of another team proving they were better. They believe the championship still belongs around their waists and are prepared to fight for another chance.
