Victory Pro Wrestling turns up the heat this summer with one of its most personal rivalries yet. On Saturday, July 12, 2025, at VPW 189: Summer Showdown, New York State Champion Rex Lawless will put his title on the line against Zakk Ramses — and if Ramses loses, he’ll be forced to shave his head and beard in front of the VPW Faithful.
This unique Hair vs. Title stipulation comes after explosive events at Battle in Bay Shore 3. Lawless dethroned Jack Tomlinson to become champion, but not without interference from Ramses, who tried — and failed — to cost Lawless the match. That failure added insult to years of frustration for Ramses, who has been waiting for a New York State Championship opportunity for over two years.
“He walks into VPW and gets handed everything I’ve fought for,” Ramses said of Lawless. “That title should be mine.”
Lawless, never one to dodge a fight, made a counteroffer: “You want your shot? Then put your hair and that ridiculous beard on the line. Let’s see how serious you are.”
Despite protests from his manager Silk E Smooth, Ramses accepted. Now, the match is official: if Lawless wins, Ramses loses his hair and beard. If Ramses pulls off the upset, he finally becomes VPW New York State Champion.
This showdown isn’t just about a championship — it’s about pride, ego, and legacy. Will Ramses finally break through, or will Lawless continue his dominant rise and humiliate “The Miasma”?
