Victory Pro Wrestling’s New York State Championship will be on the line this Saturday when reigning champion Jack Tomlinson faces off against the powerhouse Rex Lawless at Battle in Bay Shore 3.
Tomlinson, who won the title at Blue November, has three successful title defenses under his belt. Known for his polished in-ring ability and disdain with the VPW Faithful, Tomlinson has established himself as one of the promotion’s most resilient and visible stars.
Standing in his way is Rex Lawless, “The Pectoral Poseidon,” a dominant force in the Northeast wrestling scene who has brought his intensity and strength to VPW in a major way. Lawless has quickly built a reputation as one of the most physically imposing competitors on the roster, and a win Saturday would mark his first championship reign in Victory Pro Wrestling.
“This match is about two different styles and mindsets,” said VPW owner John E. Radioo. “Jack has championship experience here in VPW. Rex brings raw power and momentum. This could steal the show.”
With the New York State Championship at stake and the summer wrestling season ahead, this bout could reshape the VPW landscape.
