BAY SHORE, N.Y. — After years of competing across the independent wrestling scene, Valerie Verman has announced that the next chapter of her life will begin after one final match. That farewell will take place at VPW TWENTY: Blood Sweat and 20 Years on Saturday, April 18 in Bay Shore.
Verman’s career began in 2018 when she made her professional debut at Ohio Valley Wrestling against Megan Bayne. From that first match, she quickly developed a reputation as a determined and fearless competitor willing to face some of the toughest opponents on the independent circuit.

Throughout her career, Verman shared the ring with respected talent including Dani Mo, Christina Marie, Cosmic, Notorious Mimi and Zoey Cannon. Her performances carried her to several well known promotions, including 1CW, Monster Factory, CZW and Belle 2 Bell, where she continued to build her reputation as a versatile and aggressive competitor.
Championship success followed. Verman captured the UPW 317 Championship and later the WDWA Women’s Championship, proving she could compete at a championship level wherever she went.
Her arrival in Victory Pro Wrestling in 2023 introduced her to an entirely new stage. In 2025, Verman made an impact within the women’s division, inserting herself into high profile matches and rivalries. One of the most intense came against Unforgiven Salem, a feud that pushed both competitors to their limits and resulted in the first body bag match in VPW history.
Outside the singles division, Verman also formed a memorable partnership with longtime boyfriend Samwell Thompson. The pair competed in mixed tag team matches that showcased both chemistry and intensity, making them a unique presence in VPW.
Now, Verman prepares for the final match of her career.
While she has not revealed the identity of her opponent, speculation continues to grow about who will stand across the ring from her in that final moment. Verman has stated that she wanted her last match to take place in a promotion that challenged her and allowed her to create unforgettable moments.
For her, Victory Pro Wrestling became that place.
