BAY SHORE NY – Anthony Gangone has survived the mind games, the physical punishment and the ambushes, but his next challenger may be the most calculated threat to his VPW Championship reign. On Sunday, Nov. 8, at VPW Thanks for Everything, Gangone must defend his title against the returning TJ Crawford at Pro Game Sports.
Gangone recently defeated Azure in a grueling contest at Haunted Ground, handing Azure his first major loss of 2026, while putting Alvin Alvarez, Black Diamond or whatever name he chooses on the back burner. However, 2026 Gold Rush Rumble winner Rex Lawless has made it clear that Gangone cannot afford to look too far ahead, attacking the champion after the Gold Rush Rumble and striking again following his match with Azure at Haunted Ground.
Gangone’s championship formula combines high-level technical wrestling with psychological warfare, forcing opponents to question every decision inside the ring. Against Crawford, that approach will face a challenger who understands that the smallest opening can decide everything.
Formerly known as the Silver Sniper, Crawford has reemerged as the Leader of the Takeover, bringing a new identity and a tactical mindset to his return. His last appearance came at Wrestling for the Win in 2025, when he competed against Eric James and Dezmond Cole in a high-stakes three-way contenders match.
Crawford blends precision, ring awareness and measured pacing with a background in Taekwondo, creating a dangerous combination for any champion who loses focus. His guiding principle is simple: The Leader always has a plan, and Gangone must discover that plan before it costs him the championship.
On this special Sunday night, the champion’s resilience will collide with the challenger’s calculated ambition, with the VPW Championship hanging in the balance. At VPW Thanks for Everything, one man will leave Bay Shore with the gold, while the other must confront the consequences of a plan gone wrong.
