YONKERS, N.Y. – The VPW Women’s Championship will be on the line at Legion of Honor on Sunday, June 7, when champion Tiphani Grady faces two determined challengers in a high-stakes Triple Threat Match at the American Legion on McLean Street in Yonkers.

Grady arrives in Yonkers riding a wave of momentum. The reigning champion recently traveled to New Jersey and successfully defended her title against Vita VonStarr, proving once again why she sits atop the women’s division. Now, with little time to celebrate, Grady faces a completely different challenge against two hungry competitors who believe their opportunity has finally arrived.

One of those challengers is “Your Favorite Chica” Clara Carreras, a familiar face to VPW fans. Carreras returns with championship gold firmly in her sights. While she competed for the VPW Tag Team Championships alongside Mr. James in 2023, it has been several years since she last challenged for the VPW Women’s Championship. Her return to the title picture represents a chance to rewrite her legacy and finally capture the championship that has eluded her.

The third participant, Kalypto, enters the match with plenty of motivation and unfinished business. In her most recent championship opportunity against Grady, controversy surrounded the outcome after Kalypto’s foot appeared to be on the bottom rope during the deciding pinfall. Despite her protests, the decision stood, leaving Kalypto frustrated and still without championship gold.

Now, with no champion’s advantage and no opportunity for escape, Grady must defend her title against two challengers at the same time. Carreras sees a long-awaited opportunity to make history, while Kalypto seeks redemption after a disputed defeat.
