YONKERS, N.Y. – The VPW New York State Championship will once again be on the line when Victory Pro Wrestling returns to Yonkers on Sunday, June 7, for Legion of Honor.
Champion Rex Lawless has built a reputation as one of the hardest-working titleholders in Victory Pro Wrestling history. Never one to back down from a challenge, Lawless continues his mission of defending the New York State Championship against anyone willing to step forward. His open challenge has become one of the most talked-about opportunities in VPW, attracting competitors from across the Northeast.
The latest wrestler to answer the call is the self-proclaimed Cinematic Genius, JGeorge.
A familiar face to VPW fans, JGeorge has competed throughout the promotion in both singles and tag team competition. Now he returns with the biggest opportunity of his VPW career as he challenges for one of the company’s most prestigious championships.
Known for his charisma, creativity and unpredictable style inside the ring, JGeorge enters Legion of Honor determined to prove he belongs among the elite competitors in Victory Pro Wrestling. A victory over Lawless would instantly elevate his standing and cement his place in VPW history.
For Lawless, this is simply the next chapter in an impressive championship run. Over the past several months, the fighting champion has successfully defended the New York State Championship throughout New York, New Jersey and Massachusetts. No opponent has been able to stop his momentum, and Lawless continues to welcome all challengers.
The question now is whether JGeorge can accomplish what so many others have failed to do.
Will the Cinematic Genius script a championship-winning performance, or will Rex Lawless once again prove why he is the standard-bearer of the VPW New York State Championship?
