When Valerie Verman steps into the VPW ring, she brings more than just ambition – she brings a storied career. She made her VPW debut in 2023 and has quickly become a polarizing figure. Earlier this year, she carried the VPW Women’s Championship that she stole from the Unforgiven Salem and still claims to be a former champion. Valerie is also a former UPW 317 Champion, former WDWA Women’s Champion, and current WWGP Women’s Champion.

Valerie has made a name for herself across the independent wrestling scene. Though she often relies on her charisma and looks to command attention, her in-ring ability cannot be overlooked. She has the experience, the titles, and the cunning to make an impact – but will her focus hold when she faces someone equally decorated?

Enter Ringmaster Sofia Castillo, making her VPW debut. A former WXW Women’s Champion, a former GW Women’s Champion, and the current SHINE Tag Team Champion alongside Bella Snow, Castillo has established herself as a powerhouse in women’s wrestling. She debuted in 2017 for I Believe in Wrestling and has made several appearances for AEW, training under the late Hall of Famer Afa at the Wild Samoan Training Center. Castillo comes into VPW hungry to prove that her resume isn’t just a list of accolades – it’s a statement of dominance.

This matchup is a clash of styles and focus. Valerie thrives on presence and calculated distractions, while Castillo combines technical skill and ring psychology honed under some of the best trainers in the world. However, Castillo will have to be mindful of outside influences; Samwell Thompson has a history of creating chaos that could tip the balance.

At Haunted Ground, fans can expect a battle of wits, strength, and strategy. Valerie Verman aims to show she belongs among the top women in VPW, while Sofia Castillo looks to announce herself as a force to be reckoned with from the moment she steps in the ring. This isn’t just a match – it’s a test of legacy, focus, and ambition.
