BAY SHORE, NY – The road back to championship glory begins with uncertainty for the Muay Thai Monster.
After suffering a controversial loss to VPW Women’s Champion Tiphani Grady at Disorderly Conduct, Kalypto is determined to earn another opportunity at the division’s top prize. Grady used the ropes to secure the victory, leaving Kalypto furious and demanding a rematch. The champion, however, set her own terms.
“If you want another shot,” Grady said, “find yourself a partner to face me and my bestie.”
That challenge has sent Kalypto on a difficult search.
Her choice was the Unwilting Tatiana, a longtime rival of Valerie Verman and a woman with her own unfinished business in the VPW women’s division. Kalypto appealed to Tatiana’s sense of justice, explaining that this match was her path back to the championship. Tatiana listened, then walked away without an answer, leaving Kalypto without a partner and without a plan.
Behind the scenes, the stakes have only grown higher.
VictoryProWrestling.com has learned that Tatiana had actually contacted VPW Management to ask if her involvement in the match could lead to a title opportunity of her own. Management responded with a proposal that could reshape the division.
Sources say the woman who scores the pinfall or submission in the upcoming tag match will earn a future championship opportunity against Grady. If Kalypto secures the decision, she gets her rematch. If Tatiana delivers the winning blow, she becomes the next challenger. To that, Tatiana signed the dotted line and made it official.
Then came one more twist.
Management has extended the same opportunity to Valerie Verman. That means if her team wins (with Tiphani Grady) and Verman scores the fall, then SHE will earn a title shot herself, setting up the possibility of best friends colliding for the VPW Women’s Championship.
With championship futures on the line and alliances uncertain, the women’s division heads into uncharted territory.
