BAY SHORE, N.Y. – The road to the VPW Women’s Championship has been anything but easy for The Unwilting Tatiana.
After earning the No. 1 contender’s position at King of New York in February, Tatiana appeared destined for a championship opportunity. Instead, a series of attacks and injuries at the hands of Tiphani Grady and her former associates forced Tatiana to the sidelines, delaying the title opportunity she fought so hard to earn.
Despite the setbacks, Tatiana has refused to surrender her place atop the contender rankings. Her determination has kept her firmly in the championship conversation, but now another challenger is looking to take away everything she has worked for.
Enter Kalypto.
Once viewed as one of the fastest-rising competitors in the VPW women’s division, Kalypto finds herself at a crossroads. She challenged for the VPW Women’s Championship at VPW TWENTY in April and came up short. Earlier this week at Legion of Honor in Yonkers, she received another championship opportunity but again failed to capture the gold.
Now Kalypto is taking a different approach.
At Battle in Bay Shore 4 on Saturday, June 13, at Pro Game Sports in Bay Shore, Kalypto will challenge The Unwilting Tatiana for the coveted No. 1 contender’s position. For Kalypto, it represents one more chance to climb back into title contention. For Tatiana, it is an opportunity to prove that months of adversity have not weakened her resolve.
Questions surround both competitors heading into this high-stakes showdown. Can Tatiana finally move one step closer to the championship match she has waited months to receive? Or is Kalypto about to turn her fortunes around and seize the opportunity that has slipped through her fingers twice before?
What will happen when Victory Pro Wrestling returns to Bay Shore for Battle in Bay Shore 4?
Two major matches have already been signed for the milestone show.
- Committed to Excellence will receive another opportunity to challenge Security Inc for the VPW Tag Team Championships. After the controversial ending to their last encounter, management has added a major stipulation. If the match ends in a disqualification, the championships can change hands.
- Another rivalry set to continue involves former partners turned bitter enemies. Azure and Steve Somerset erupted into a wild fight at VPW TWENTY that spilled throughout the building and required the locker room to separate them. Now the two will meet in an official match at Battle in Bay Shore 4 as their deeply personal feud continues to escalate.
