BAY SHORE, NY – With Adam Cain firmly in the rearview mirror, DRxSLEEP Anthony Gangone has wasted no time shifting his focus to the biggest prize in Victory Pro Wrestling. Gangone has declared his intention to challenge VPW Champion Dezmond Cole, making it clear that his future lies in singles competition and at the very top of the card.

Following his latest victory, Gangone delivered a direct message to the champion. “You have what I want,” Gangone said, referring to the VPW Championship. He followed it with an even stronger warning. “You haven’t met anyone quite like Dr Sleep.” It was not posturing or celebration. It was a statement of purpose from a competitor determined to redefine himself.

Dezmond Cole, however, enters this moment with more than one concern. At Disorderly Conduct, Cole survived a hard fought championship defense against Gabriel Skye, only to be attacked by Alvin Alvarez. Alvarez has since officially declared his intention to challenge for the VPW Championship as the winner of the Gold Rush Rumble, but continues to keep everyone guessing by refusing to name when he will cash in that opportunity.

That uncertainty creates a volatile situation. Gangone believes this is the perfect moment to strike, challenging Cole while the champion’s attention is divided. Cole, known to the VPW Faithful as “Da Big Boofa,” has built his reign on resilience and preparation. Distractions have never been enough to slow him down, but the looming presence of Alvarez adds an unpredictable edge.

The question now becomes whether Gangone is seizing the right opportunity or walking into a storm. Challenging Cole while another threat circles could force the champion to stay sharper than ever. It could also open the door for a misstep, and Gangone is betting on that opening.

With ambition, ego, and the VPW Championship colliding, the road to the top of Victory Pro Wrestling has rarely felt more dangerous.
