VPW Presents The 2026 Gold Rush Rumble
Saturday, Aug. 8, at Pro Game Sports in Bay Shore
The road to the Gold Rush Rumble culminated with a night of rivalries, championship implications and a main event built around 20 competitors fighting for an opportunity at any active VPW championship of their choice. Before the Rumble took center stage, Azure’s Playhouse brought an unusual set of rules and an even more unpredictable environment, while Adam Kirkland and Officer Ronald Moses renewed a rivalry nearly four years in the making.
Azure Def. Steve Somerset in “Azure’s Playhouse”
Before the first contest, VPW Owner John E Radioo explained the unique rules governing Azure’s Playhouse. The unsanctioned match featured no disqualifications, no countouts and no rope breaks. The only ways to win were by pinfall or submission. The setting was unlike anything typically seen in Victory Pro Wrestling. The ring was surrounded by children’s toys, slides and a kid’s wading pool filled with plastic balls.
The match quickly became as chaotic as its surroundings. Azure controlled the pace early, but Somerset eventually turned the momentum in his favor and appeared to be closing in on victory. Azure’s acolytes then rushed to the ring to aid their leader, changing the complexion of the contest once again.
With the match spiraling into further chaos, Azure regained control and secured the victory in one of the most unusual contests in VPW history.

Journey Burke Esq. Def. Big Daddy Adrianna
Journey Burke Esq. and Big Daddy Adrianna delivered a competitive contest with important implications for the VPW women’s division. Adrianna showcased the power and dominance that have made her one of the more formidable performers in the Northeast. Burke countered with determination and found ways to withstand Adrianna’s offense during a back-and-forth battle.
Despite Adrianna’s strength and experience, Burke ultimately secured the victory, giving herself another reason to demand consideration in the women’s division.
Following the match, Officer Ronald Moses made his way to the ring and had a brief conversation with Burke. The two eventually left the ringside area together, adding another layer of intrigue to an already eventful night.

VPW Tag Team Championship Vacated
VPW Commissioner Kevin Fulton entered the ring and brought Adam Kirkland with him to address the ongoing situation involving Committed to Excellence. Skyler Mack had yet to be medically cleared to compete in New York, leaving the VPW Tag Team Championship team unable to defend the titles. Fulton subsequently stripped Committed to Excellence of the championships.
Officer Ronald Moses then entered the ring and thanked Fulton, appearing prepared to accept the championships on behalf of Security Inc. Fulton quickly reminded Moses that the titles could not simply be handed to another team, even if they were the former champions.
With Moses and Kirkland standing in the ring together, Fulton made the decision to settle the matter in the ring, sanctioning a singles match between the two rivals.
Adam Kirkland Def. Officer Ronald Moses by Disqualification
The rivalry between Adam Kirkland and Officer Ronald Moses dates back nearly four years in Victory Pro Wrestling, and the latest chapter quickly became one of the night’s most physical encounters.
Kirkland and Moses battled throughout the building, taking the fight outside the ring before returning to continue the confrontation. Neither man appeared willing to give the other an inch.
The situation escalated when Journey Burke returned to ringside and pepper-sprayed Kirkland, giving Moses an opening. Moses capitalized by unleashing a sustained attack on Kirkland, eventually busting him open.
The officials intervened and the match ended by disqualification, awarding the victory to Kirkland. The result did little to settle the rivalry. Kirkland was left bloodied and required assistance from officials as he was taken to the back for medical attention.

The Gold Rush Rumble
Twenty competitors entered the Gold Rush Rumble, with the winner earning the right to call their shot for any VPW championship. The only way to lose was to be thrown over the top rope and land on the floor.
VPW announced earlier in the day that evil kip would draw number 1. Mike Anthony entered at number 2.
Mike Anthony and evil kip would battle before being followed by Unicorn Party at number 3, Ronald Moses at number 4, Jackson Crowe at number 5 and Yoscifer at number 6. Yoscifer immediately made an impact, eliminating Crowe before the arrival of Monster Kalypto at number 7. With Yoscifer becoming a target, the other competitors briefly joined forces in an attempt to eliminate him.

Franco Costanzo entered at number 8, followed by Tiny Giant at number 9 and Dylon Woodward at number 10. Unicorn Party eliminated Moses, while Woodward later eliminated Costanzo.
Journey Burke entered at number 11 and formed an alliance with Kalypto. Dr. Ethan Wilde entered at number 12, but his stay was short-lived as Kalypto eliminated him.
JGeorge entered at number 13. Kalypto choked Unicorn Party before eliminating him. At number 14, Silk E Smooth was announced for the match, but David Graham instead emerged from the crowd to enter the Rumble. Big Daddy Adrianna entered at number 15 and was eliminated by evil kip. Graham then eliminated Journey Burke.
El Terrifico entered at number 16, followed by Rex Lawless at number 17. Lawless and Yoscifer immediately squared off. ABBS entered at number 18, but Rex and Yoscifer quickly dismissed him to focus on each other again. Black Diamond entered at number 19, drawing attention because of his resemblance to Alvin Alvarez, who had been banned from the Rumble. Mister Tibbs entered at number 20, completing the field.

Tibbs then eliminated ABBS. Yoscifer eliminated both El Terrifico and Tiny Giant before Black Diamond finally eliminated Yoscifer. Tibbs nearly eliminated Woodward, but Mike Anthony intervened. Woodward was eventually eliminated by Anthony.
Kalypto eliminated JGeorge, but Lawless immediately turned his attention to Kalypto and eliminated her. Tibbs repeatedly tried to eliminate Graham, but Silk E Smooth kept catching Graham before he could hit the floor. After two failed attempts, Tibbs finally eliminated Graham.
The match then took a chaotic turn. Anthony attempted to eliminate Tibbs when Woodward returned to the ring. Woodward, no longer an active competitor, sought revenge for his elimination and helped send Anthony over the top rope. Anthony and Woodward then fought toward the back as officials attempted to separate them.
While officials focused on the confrontation at ringside, Black Diamond eliminated Lawless. Lawless, however, returned to the ring before officials recognized what had happened. With attention back on the Rumble, Lawless eliminated Black Diamond. Diamond protested, arguing that Lawless had already been eliminated, but none of the officials saw the elimination.

The final stretch featured Tibbs, Lawless and evil kip. Tibbs superkicked kip, prompting kip to re-enter the fight and wear down Tibbs. Tibbs attempted to eliminate kip, but kip reversed the situation and tried to eliminate Tibbs instead.
Lawless attempted to kick kip out, but his kick struck Tibbs instead. Kip capitalized, dumping Tibbs over the top rope and leaving only kip and Lawless.
Kip tried to knock Lawless off the apron, but Lawless caught him and pulled him toward the outside of the ropes. Both men fought while perched on the side apron, trading blows with the victory within reach. Lawless finally caught kip and delivered a chokeslam from the apron to ringside.

Victor Pro Wrestling Championship
Champion Anthony Gangone Def. Prince Ahmed
Anthony Gangone survived a punishing championship challenge from Prince Ahmed to retain the VPW Championship in the Gold Rush Rumble main event.
Gangone started fast, but a slip through the ropes allowed Ahmed to seize control. The challenger took the fight outside the ring and methodically wore down the champion before turning to a series of submission holds. Gangone rallied, determined to protect the championship after his major victory in Riverhead one week earlier.
Both wrestlers traded submission attempts as the action spilled outside the ring again. Referee Emi was knocked unconscious during the chaos, leaving the match without an official. Ahmed seized the opportunity and used the championship belt to knock out Gangone. When Emi regained consciousness, she returned to the ring and counted three, but Gangone kicked out just before the final count.
Gangone immediately turned the momentum, applying a sharpshooter before twisting Ahmed and driving his fingers into the challenger’s mandible. Ahmed submitted, allowing Gangone to retain the championship.
The celebration was short-lived. Black Diamond attacked Gangone before Gold Rush Rumble winner Rex Lawless rushed to the ring. After Black Diamond left, Lawless handed the championship to Gangone, then attacked the champion, leaving Gangone down as officials rushed to his aid.
