PORTLAND, Conn. – The fourth annual Riverfront Rumble delivered an action-packed night at Concentric Brewing Company as Victory Pro Wrestling partnered once again with A Fight Against to raise money and awareness for the fight against the disease.
VPW owner John E. Radioo opened the show, welcoming fans before introducing Naji Chester-Payne of A Fight Against, who shared what the event means to his family and the local community. From there, the crowd was treated to a full evening of professional wrestling, showcasing both rising stars and established names.
Guapo Suave Makes Debut
In the opening contest, the debuting team of Guapo Suave – Diego Alvarez and Lex Lozano – scored a victory over Bobby Casale and Shotgun Adams. Casale and Adams impressed early with surprising teamwork, but a communication breakdown gave the experienced duo of Diego and Lozano the opening they needed to secure the win.
Irish Wolf Overcomes ABBS
ABBS looked to bounce back from his performance at the Gold Rush Rumble with more offense against Irish Wolf. Despite nearly turning the tide when Wolf ran headfirst into ABBS’ trademark abs, Irish Wolf recovered and outsmarted his opponent to earn the victory.
Dee Vibe Outlasts Sebastian Amor
Sebastian Amor entered the ring eager to score a big win but was distracted by his showmanship and fan interaction. Dee Vibe capitalized, weathering Amor’s offense and rallying back to earn a hard-fought win.
Grady Retains VPW Women’s Title in Three-Way
In a triple threat match for the VPW Women’s Championship, champion Tiphani Grady successfully defended against Nat Castle and newcomer Shannon LeVangie. LeVangie impressed in her VPW debut with resilience and high-flying offense, but Grady and Castle worked together to neutralize her. In the end, Grady’s experience allowed her to walk away with the victory.
Nick Robles Bests Evil Kip
The rivalry between Nick Robles and Evil Kip continued in Portland. Kip controlled much of the match, but Robles fought back, rallying with his rock-and-roll energy to secure the win.
Jayden Stehle Retains EHW and WTW Titles
Accompanied by Silk E. Smooth, Jayden Stehle returned to VPW to defend both the EHW and WTW championships against Brother Greatness. After a competitive bout, Stehle retained with a surprise lariat.
Security Inc. Defeats Body Snatchers
The Body Snatchers – Marvelous and The God of Dad Bod – looked to build momentum as fan favorites against 2025 Kings of New York winners Security Inc. Despite a strong showing, the match ended in controversy when Ronald Moses used an illegal weapon behind the referee’s back, giving Security Inc. the win.
Chaos Between Doze, Alvarez, and Kirkland
JJ Doze faced Adam Kirkland in Kirkland’s return match, but interference from Alvin Alvarez led to a disqualification. Alvarez attacked Doze before Ken Powers made the save, setting up a tag team showdown.
In the night’s final match, Doze and Powers defeated Kirkland and Alvarez. The power of Alvarez and the methodical teamwork of Kirkland controlled much of the action, but Doze and Powers rallied back, giving the fans a satisfying ending to a night of wrestling action for a cause.
Riverfront Rumble 4 continued its tradition of blending entertainment with purpose, raising funds and awareness in the fight against cancer while delivering unforgettable moments for fans in Connecticut.
