BAY SHORE, N.Y. — VPW Women’s Champion Tiphani Grady thought she had the system figured out.
At King of New York, Grady suffered her first pinfall loss in Victory Pro Wrestling when the Unwilting Tatiana scored the deciding fall in a tag team match, where the winner of the fall also gets a title opportunity against Grady for the title. It was a rare crack in the armor of a champion who has held the title since August 2025. But instead of accepting the setback, Grady and tag team partner Valerie Verman delivered a ruthless post-match assault, leaving Tatiana laid out and seemingly out of the immediate title picture.
If the plan was to clear the board and buy time, it backfired.
VPW management responded with a statement of its own. On Friday, March 13, at VPW Before the Storm in Bay Shore, Grady will defend the Women’s Championship against international standout Jacky Go.
Jacky arrives with global credentials and a reputation for dominance. The German superstar made her name competing under the banner of Westside Xtreme Wrestling and showcased her skill in BCW’s Queen of the North 6 tournament. Powerful, poised and unapologetically confident, she backs every strike with a simple declaration: “I Run This Show.”
Grady has built her reign on control. Since capturing the championship last summer, she has turned back every challenger while also collecting titles across multiple promotions, including WDWA and CCW. Gold has followed her wherever she competes, reinforcing her claim as one of the most dominant competitors on the independent scene.
But questions linger.
The loss at King of New York exposed vulnerability. The aftermath raised eyebrows. And the dynamic between Grady and Verman remains uncertain after the chaotic finish. Is their alliance stronger than ever, or beginning to fracture under pressure?
Jacky Go does not care about politics or partnerships. She sees opportunity. On March 13 in Bay Shore, the champion who thought she could dictate the narrative meets a challenger who insists she already runs the show.
What will happen when VPW presents Before the Storm on Friday night, March 13?
