DEER PARK, N.Y. — Victory Pro Wrestling has a new Women’s champion.

After holding the VPW Women’s Championship for 308 days, Temptatious Tiphani Grady’s reign came to an end Saturday night when Amity LaVey defeated her at Rising Stars Wrestling in Deer Park.

Grady entered the match having established herself as one of the promotion’s most dominant champions. During her reign, she successfully defended the title in a victory over Vita VonStarr in New Jersey in May. Grady follows Gabby Ortiz and The Unforgiven Salem who defended the championship at Belle 2 Bell, Matt Pro Wrestling and Pro Wrestling Magic, proving the VPW Women’s Championship could be defended successfully well beyond Victory Pro Wrestling.

Saturday’s challenge, however, proved to be different.

While Long Island may be familiar territory for Grady, the event marked the first Rising Stars Wrestling appearance for both the champion and her manager, Silk E Smooth. LaVey entered with experience inside the promotion, having previously competed in the tournament to crown the inaugural Rising Stars champion before falling to Abadon. The championship victory also marked LaVey’s first win under the Rising Stars banner.

The closing moments saw Grady’s own advantage unravel. As the referee became distracted, Silk E Smooth attempted to tip the scales in Grady’s favor. Instead, the interference backfired. Grady charged toward LaVey, who stepped aside at the last second, sending the champion crashing into her own manager. LaVey capitalized on the opening, scoring the decisive pinfall to capture the VPW Women’s Championship for the first time.

The victory further strengthens LaVey’s championship résumé. She is a two-time NYWC Starlet champion, a former Remarkable Wrestling Women’s champion and a two-time Goddesses of War champion. The VPW Women’s Championship now becomes the latest accolade in an already accomplished career.

LaVey’s title victory continues a week of dramatic change throughout Victory Pro Wrestling. With multiple championships changing hands in recent events, the promotion enters its next chapter with a new group of champions at the top of the card and momentum shifting across every division.

Victory Pro Wrestling enters a new era as Summer Showdown arrives Saturday, July 11, at Pro Game Sports in Bay Shore.

With new champions crowned, rivalries intensifying and championship opportunities on the line, the fallout from Battle in Bay Shore 4 promises to reshape VPW once again when Summer Showdown takes over Bay Shore.
